Shark Automatic sewing machine

The Shark machine I received from Amazon is noisy, runs rough and is difficult to use. I had a Shark before which ran smoothly and was easier to use. I am so disappointed. I've sewn for over 40 years and this is the worst machine I've ever had.Some changes that were made from other models like less steps to threading upper thread only cause issues in the sewing process. Bobbin winding is difficult, its doable but could be so much more user friendly.

It's a great little sewing machine for the money. Does great button holes. That's what I bought it for. I had one for 5 years and it bit the dust. I desperately needed a machine that I could do button holes on, so I searched the web until I found this one. Sigh of relief! It sews regularly well too. I highly recommend the Shark machines!EDITED TO ADD: IT'S BEEN 3 YEARS...And the machine is still going strong! I highly recommend this sewing machine if you can find one!

I am incredibly frustrated by this machine. It ran well at first - seems well-made, sturdy, and easy to use. An hour into my sewing machine explorations (I am a total novice), and I can't get the darn thing to sew. It's tricky pulling up the lower thread. When I do pull it up, the machine jams immediately with the first stitch, resulting in that dreaded "bird's nest." The bobbin case keeps popping out. I was initially able to resolve this by adjusting the bobbin tension. But after another 20 minutes of sewing, this has started all over again, and no amount of tension adjustment makes any improvement. 30 minutes of Googling leads me to speculate that I've either damaged the needle or messed up the hook timing. Not sure how to adjust the hook timing, since it's not described in the manual. How about replacement needles? Can't figure out where to get those either.This is an ongoing problem with Euro-pro products, and the reason that I will probably never buy another Euro-pro machine again. It's extremely difficult, if not impossible, to find replacement parts. And the manual is so simplistic that it's just a joke. Useless. I know that a lot of my problems are just because I've never used a sewing machine before, but the cryptic instruction manual and the absolute dearth of information available on the internet for this machine make it a total bust for me. One more try tonight before it gets sent back.**Updated - ** I returned this and got a Singer that was cheaper, but with fewer functions. It works beautifully, and I love the reassurance that having a common brand brings.

This sewing machine worked good the first few times I used it. Then the machine started to constantly get jammed. The thread does not like to stay on the spool. The cheap plastic petal makes the speed hard to control. Also, after 14 months of moderate usage (maybe used it twice a month) the sewing machine quit working all together. :( I am very disappointed and will never buy another product produced by this brand again.

I felt bad purchasing an imported machine, but I couldn't find a deal on any made in the USA. Regardless, this one blew me away. The automatic needle threading works great and the storage compartment comes filled with more accessories than I yet understand. Being able to sew a buttonhole without touching the fabric is unbelievably simple, and the solid metal internal construction gives me confidence that this will probably be the last sewing machine I ever buy. I completely recommend this machine to anyone who doesn't need more than the basic stitches.

I recently purchased this sewing machine and i love it! So far it has exceded my expectations and has been very reliable.something that I noticed on the website was that the model number listed for this machine doesnt match mine ....I hope its an error on the website. The model number on my machine says 8260 and the number on this one is the 8620.....odd.

Excelent machine. Very power. Can handle multiple layers of denim as advertised. It works well more than I expected. Recommend it for beginner.
