I bought this as a replacement for a WR9X223. The above description indicates that this should work. Other cross-references indicate that the 355 should be compatible. The retention wings for the knob are backwards compared to the WR9X223, so the knob only goes on backwards. That's annoying, but not a terminal fault.What is a terminal fault is that this thermostat has no hysteresis. It approaches the setpoint and then sits there bumping the compressor on and off in 1-2 second pulses. It certainly keeps the temperature variation very small, but the cost of destroying your compressor. This is a defect.EDIT: By the time I got around to pulling the thermostat back out, its contacts had welded shut. Turns out that the device never snaps the contacts open or closed. It just gradually opens them, allowing them to sit there and arc erratically until they weld together. Like I said, that's a defect, and now it's junk. At least it didn't damage the compressor.

40 years in refrigeration and never bought a stat without a temp dial plate or screws....now i have to buy even more stuff instead of having it all in 1 box....useless!

Uses almost the warmest setting and it fluctuates between freezing everything and 50*. Got tired of wasting food messing with this.Seems like this thermostat belongs in a freezer and not a refrigerator.Bought a replacement.

It tell in description it is for frig or freezer. Thought that was odd that is a larger swing on temp , I was right only goes down to about 18 degrees not cold enough for freezer bad buy . Have already installed so contact return . Amazon should nix is sell good luck to all that try this item

I have an older Mini Fridge this part is close to OEM and with a little mod will fit.Great replacement part for a great price

Since we installed this in our RV fridge it has been working great.

It wasn't a direct replacement part and did not have two threaded screw holes and the handle spindle broke very easily but I made it work.
