Can’t go wrong with Shoei! I read a lot of reviews and watched every possible video on Revzilla. This is one of the best models Shoei has. This model has been upgraded by RF-1400, so you are getting like 40-50% off ( so grab it while you can!). Helmet is super comfortable and very quiet, however I had to buy 31 cheek pads( I had “fish lips” and was bitting my cheeks). You should have your cheek pads tight, however should be able to control bitting cheeks when talking. It came well packaged in original box which includes anti-fog shield, instruction book and chin pad. Padding inside is made of superior materials and can be easily removed for washing. I tried many various helmets- cheeper and high end, however this one fits like a glove. I am a female and have oval face ( my husband tried different sizes of this model, but could always feel too much pressure on his forehead. He ended up getting Shoei Neotec II and loved it.) This helmet doesn’t have the sun visor, however you can comfortably wear your own sunglasses. I’ve read great reviews about transitioning visor for this helmet ( around $199) and might get it.As I said, great quality ( Made in Japan! and used by professionals), awesome price, super comfortable and quiet. Get it while you can!!!PS. Pair it with Cardo Packtalk Bold and you will be sitting in your livingroom with your helmet on while listening to your music!! Can’t go wrong with JBL!

Very comfortable.
I had the helmet only for a short while and fortunately I did not crash it, so I cannot say anythingabout level of protection given. What I can say however is that the helmet is very comfortable and, in myopinion quite silent. I actually have no way to measure the noise so I am reporting just my impression.I am right between two sizes and decided to get the smaller one and I am pretty satisfied with this as I rather have my head slightly compressed while riding than lose the helmet in a crash. I could not find anything of this level at a comparable price locally.quality at this price locally.

Great value what are you waiting for get yourself one
The price is amazing. Very lightweight and extremely comfortable. It is DOT and SNELL rated which is a big plus. Built for 3/4 tuck and full tuck on a sport bike. I can say I've had my 02 954RR up to 160+and no head wobble or bobble. The pinlock is amazing as well. The only con I would say is Shoei should also provide another visor a tinted visor but that's my opinion. The matte finish is perfect and my buddies all complimented it saying they can't believe how light and cool it looks. The airflow in this thing is crazy. I ride without the chin curtain installed and it is a lil loud I did ride with it installed and very minimal noise.

Best helmet
I have rode most my life and always thought of a helmet as a necessary inconvenience. I wish I had stepped up to this helmet years ago. Its comfortable and lighter than all of the basic cheap helmets I have owned. The visor is much better quality. With the vents closed and the visor latched I can turn down my sena headset and hear clearly even at high speeds. Its such a better helmet than the Bell and Fly, scorpions. It really feels like your doing something wrong lol.
