Great yeast for lagers
I love using dry yeast for its easy of use and 34/70, along with US-05, is one of my favorites. I've never tried it but you can apparently successfully ferment with 34/70 at relatively high temperatures although it works so well in the recommended range I don't know why you'd want to unless you couldn't for some reason.

Used it for a Pilsner
Just tapped a keg of a Nelson Pilsner using this yeast. I used 3 packs for about 5.5 gallons, it might have been a little overkill but more yeast is better than not enough. Beer came out terrific, I fermented in the low 50's and lagered for a couple of weeks in the mid 30's. Beer was crystal clear and didn't last long!

Worked well in the 60sF
Seems to have worked really well on a kolsch style brew at the upper end of its temperature limits. Been in primary for 2 weeks and tastes really good so far.

Excellent product, only a few months old, well packaged, great fermentation at 50 and 44 degrees Fahrenheit over 5 weeks.

Old Yeast
The yeast arrived, expires 4/2014 which means it's pretty old. I guess I can't complain, but I've never purchased dry yeast that didn't have at least a year and half before the expiration.
