What a good product. One ball at a time so no waste. Sparrows are all over them taking their time to eat but the pigeons are non stop eating. The only good thing about that is that they dont chase the sparrows away and are happy to pickup the crumbs off the floor. Now purchased a second set and using the RSPB fat balls in them.

These offer great feeding flexibility for a range of birds. We hang them from our bird feeders, tree branches and bird table and bring them in each night to avoid encouraging vermin! As the fat ball gets smaller, it drops down the spiral. The only issue we had was in the real icy weather where these became super slippy and the birds couldn’t get a good grip! I’m sure you could bind some plumbers tape to help but there weren’t too many days like this so it wasn’t too bad. All in all - effective product - clever design & our birds love them.

Love these for easy they are to refill, as they are small can be hung easily in tree branches etc. A little too easy for squirrels to lift an entire fat ball out of unfortunately. A double ended clip across the top seems to be enough of a deterrent!

These fat ball holders are shiny, really solid steel coiled spring type style, they really look the part, the birds seem ok with them, I purchased some super fat balls to go in them that are so popular and that is the only down side, they need filling up quite quickly as they only hold one each. On the plus side there is 8 in a pack , so it allows you to place them around the garden and rather than the birds all scrambling to get in one spot they can have a feeder each, which seems to get them to stay longer, not being disturbed by other birds. I also think because the are small, it allows me to place them out of the reach of cats more, ie away from fences or easy access places. They look very nice indeed. The hanger part is quite wide so fits on a variety of hanging places. I am getting the tiny wrens on the ones placed in quiet area's, i think normally they are out off by the bigger birds on the larger feeders. Great buy.

Accessible for birds and easy to refill

I read the reviews first & because of this I was able to modify the holder with gardening wire to anchor the suet ball in to hopefully prevent bigger birds stealing the food. So far so good

These are attractive and functional. They are ideal for hanging fat balls from small trees or in shrubs.

Easy to use, hang well, great price ..the only probably is when the fat ball is half eaten tends to fall off to the delight of one if my greedy dogs 🐕
