ComfyBrace Posture Corrector for Men and Women, Back Brace Straightener

I just got my brace yesterday and wore it for about half an hour, so that's where I'm coming from with this review. My family have noticed my poor posture lately and have been commenting on it, so I've ordered a new chair for my home office, a lumbar support cushion for my chair at work, and this thing for when I'm not at either. I've got a large torso and wide shoulders, so I wasn't sure how long the straps should be; eventually I decided to put them on with only slightly lengthened straps from the default. They're elastic, and fairly strongly so, and they held my shoulders back in the proper posture without trouble. My family noticed immediately that I was standing straighter, so clearly they're doing the job, and there wasn't any noticeable discomfort from the relatively tight straps. The seller recommends wearing them for short periods until you get used to them, and I can see why: I wore them only half an hour because my shoulders were getting sore. The fact of the muscle soreness suggests that my body is actually doing some of the work to hold my shoulders back (probably unconsciously), and that's good news: it means my rear deltoids will actually be tightening up over time while wearing them, improving my posture even without the brace on. I don't think this is the ideal solution for poor posture - barbell exercises for the chest and upper/lower back are the best solutions - but for anyone without time or access to a gym this is at lesat a reasonable alternative. I can't say how well this would help people with longterm injuries or chronic pain, as I don't have either, but at least as far as a single wearing this product seems to be exactly what its advertised to be. I'll update this review in a month or so, after I've worn it more. EDIT: I've now had the brace for two weeks, and I can safely say that its much more comfortable to wear for longer periods now than it was at the beginning. I've restarted my weightlifting regimen, so it's hard to say which has had more effect, but I've noticed myself automatically sitting up straight without having to consciously make myself do so. Obviously, this involves tensing muscles, so I have a little bit more soreness after long periods sitting with no back support than before, but that's been fading as I become accustomed to it.

Great product! It’s straps are padded and comfortable enough to not chafe, but the adjustability allows you to “smart small” and tighten to your liking over time or over the duration of a wear. I highly recommend starting with wearing while doing a few “slump” chores around the house (laundry, cleaning, desk work), and you’ll immediately become more aware of your posture. As you fit into the brace more easily over time, you can tighten or wear for longer periods. Does the job at a great price compared to high priced alternatives. I’ve noticed a different in my general posture awareness daily, and I think this actually pulls back enough to help my rounded shoulders notably over time. I am going to order a second one to gift my mom (who tried to super pricey posture bra and didn’t like it!)

I tend to slouch a lot whenever I'm working or studying at my desk. After speaking with my physician, he discussed the importance of maintaining good posture to avoid complications down the line. That's when I decided I was going to be more serious with how I sit at my desk and I bought this brace to help me! First of all, it's kind of a funny looking brace. Whenever I wear it, my parents tend to find it amusing. However, I find that it does do a good job at keeping my back straight. The only issue that I've experienced is that I have to make it somewhat tight to get good posture. This, in turn, does lead to pain and the material digging into my skin. If I keep it too loose, then it won't be as effective. Therefore, my only complaint would be the comfortability, but it does work! I think this is an affordable option for people who are trying to find ways to fix/maintain good posture to improve their health. It's good!

TL;DR: helps with posture. I do experience less pain in my neck/shoulders/back but I’ve also been utilizing other methods of pain relief like self massage and heat. I’d maybe tweak the design a little bit to know I’m adjusting it evenly on both sides, but I am overall happy with my purchase and I’m excited to continue using it. ———————————- I’ve been trying to find a way to improve my posture since there are a lot of benefits to great posture, including pain relief. Posture: Overall, I do think it’s nice and could fit a lot of needs. When I sit at my desk, because of the way I’m positioned, it is hard to feel like it is doing anything for me. However, after a few days of wearing it, I was out in public, not wearing it, and had the thought of checking my posture. I realized that I only had to adjust myself tiny bit in comparison to my usual slumped over self, so I have to give it credit for assisting with my posture. Pain relief: I’m honestly not quite sure. I started stretching more and spending a lot of time working on my shoulder and back pain at the same time I started using this product. I can only say that although I do have significantly less pain, I don’t know how much credit to give to the brace on its own. Comfort: It doesn’t hurt. I guess it digs a little into the armpit area but I found that wearing sweatshirts has been the comfiest. I will say that I am overall pleased with the design. However, if I could give some sort of constructive feedback, I’d recommend somehow tweaking it so I know that the velcro is even on both sides. I’m always thinking about whether or not I’ve placed the Velcro evenly. I don’t know if the straps being uneven is harmful but I think it would be nice to have some reassurance if possible. Also, if you’re worried about whether or not it will properly fit, I’m a 5’ 6” 100 lbs female. I have no problem with the fit but I do wonder if I will reach a point soon where I am unable to tighten the straps. I’m not sure but will post an update if it becomes an issue.

ComfyBrace posture corrector really saved my sore back. After years of continuing on with the day to day comings and going’s in my life, posture naturally fell to the back of my mind. I hunched as I played with my children, I slouched as I folded laundry late at night, and bent down countless times to pick up toys and garbage from the floor. I was so busy taking care of all the things that seemed so important and my back silently came along for the ride. Until one day it didn’t. I woke up one morning and my entire upper back was burning, years or wear and tear began protesting. I was in so much pain, I couldn’t figure out what to do with myself. It was my grandson that suggested that maybe a posture corrector would be the solution. Thankfully amazon was able to deliver it the next day, and I immediately began wearing it. I can’t say magic happened over night, but I followed the instructions exactly, and the more I wore it, the more it became second nature for me. I still wear it for an hour each day when I do my yoga exercise, and I feel the difference the whole day. Now I am on top of my children, making sure they either wear a posture corrector or concentrate on their posture throughout the day. I don’t want them to suffer like I did. I will order a second corrector to wear while the other one is in the wash. It truly lives up to its name. It’s truly Comfy. The material is soft so it doesn’t hurt me, but it’s sturdy enough to maintain straight posture. It is adjustable so it can fit practically anyone, from my petite daughter, to my grandson who’s a basketball player. It looks like it’s pretty well constructed and can withstand quite a bit of regular wear and tear. I highly recommend this ComfyBrace posture corrector to people of all ages. Young ones take advantage before it’s too late, and the older fellows take advantage of the pain relief this will provide.

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this, but I'm so happy that did. I'm a bit older and when I spend the day in the kitchen canning or baking I get so tight between my shoulders, it takes days for the pain to go away. With this ComfyBrace I have no pain after a day in the kichen. It is so comfortable to wear it fits me perfect, I'm a bit petite 4' 11" and weigh 110 lbs, so the one size fits all is true. I would highly recommend this.

Does it pull your shoulders back? Yeah. Does it have to be tightened to an obscene level to do so? Yeah. Does this cause significant digging into the chest and armpit? Oh yeah. To be fair, the product warns you when you start using it, it will do this, but it's significantly underplayed. Using the product for 2 weeks and it has not improved at all and I'm no longer going to shove washcloths under the straps to pad them. The tightened straps bypass the small padded straps that they're supposed to go over, cutting directly into you with no padding at all. And it's already stretched to the point of needed to tighten it even more, causing the rubbing to be even worse. Unless your plan is standing around doing nothing while it pulls your shoulders back, then this will be worsened by normal tasks as you'll be reaching against the straps to do anything. The tenderness and raw skin lasts. If you wait long enough for that to resolve, then there's no point in using the product. It also requires a 2nd person to make sure everything is flat and not twisted on your back side, unless you have hyperflexible shoulders--which is unlikely if you're using this product in the first place. Returning the product and trying an alternative with larger, padded straps. 2 stars because it does pull your shoulders back as advertised.

Wow. I just received this yesterday (last night to be exact) and put it on right away. I felt relief in my upper back/shoulder blades immediately. I personally didn’t think it changed my appearance until I walked by my husband wearing it under my hoodie, and he told me I looked different. “Good different” he clarified. The instructions say to start wearing it for a short amount of time and work up because it can be uncomfortable. I wore it the night I received it for an hour, and the discomfort I felt was mostly under my armpits, but it wasn’t unbearable and definitely worth that for the immediate change and pain relief. Background on me: I’m 5’3”, 130lbs, medium build. I’ve had large breasts and bad posture since I was 14, which caused neck and upper back pain. I was a year-round swimmer for years, so I have broad shoulders that are still kind of awkward to me even after years of not swimming competitively. I’ve seen a chiropractor every week since high school for my neck and back pain, which helped but never fully alleviated the discomfort for long enough to skip a week. UPDATE! 1/3/21 I had been wearing this brace almost every day since I received it, but now I am able to use it less and for less time. It’s more like a refresher when I feel like I need it. The first couple weeks after I received it, my chiropractor told me my neck wasn’t in dire need of an adjustment (as it has been, every week, for years). He actually asked me the same of the brace because of the difference it made in my posture and neck. My entire family couldn’t believe the difference (even my sisters across the country ON FACETIME)! They all asked for this for Christmas. So now my whole family has one! This product really worked (and is continuing to work) for me and now, my family. It can be uncomfortable (still is rough on my armpits), but after suffering so many years of excruciating neck pain and migraines, it’s worth it. I am amazed that after a couple decades of bad posture, this brace was able to help me so much in less than a month!
