Computer protection from Internet threats has come a long way since "security" meant only anti-virus software that you updated manually when you remembered to do so. Today, there is a wide choice of security "suites" that guard against malware and other intruders as well, and most of them provide for automatic updating. The best don't require a re-start of the computer with every modification---and Trend fits into that category. It has been rated consistently among the best and may well be the easiest to install. Its pricing also seems to be a bit more favorable to the average user. The only significant complaint is that the level of protection is perhaps a touch too aggressive. I've found that it blocks a good many web links as being "potentially malicious" when in fact they are among the most trustworthy I've dealt with. Fortunately, you can override the action but not instantly. Other than that, its day-to-day performance is nearly invisible with only minor intrusions regarding the results of its threat scans.

Ad said it was a 2014 version but was the 2013 version which was already on my machine.

After almost a year of suffering from a continuing escalation of problems induced by ESET, I finally deleted ESET and installed the Trend Micro package and am ecstatic with it. It took a long time to install but it was well worth the wait. It went in without a whimper and is functioning very smoothly. It even had it's own utility for assuring the online connection of my router to the internet. The first system scan was fast (only took seconds compared to ESET's half hour) but extremely complete and it was very informative as to what it looked at and what it found.This package comes on very fast at start-up compared to ESET and is ready to go instantly (I used to have a lengthy wait time before I could check my email). It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of ESET but who cares; IT WORKS WELL AND IS FASTER, ESPECIALLY AT START-UP, AND MORE RELIABLE!I got a strong sense of real professional thought and action from the Trend folks during the installation and start-up and am eagerly looking forward to using this software.Update 5/13/2015:Starting with the use of ESET, my internet connection took quite a while. This timing was also lengthy when I first installed the Trend program. However, I have recently noticed and verified it's continuation, that the internet connection is now instantaneous and flawless every time I start up.I can only attribute this to a possible update by the Trend program which I frequently request. The more I use this program, the more I love it!!!I have now installed another copy for my wife's computer which was also using ESET. As expected, the install went without a hitch and the system, especially on start-up, is much more responsive.

After buying 3 years worth of this from Best Buy, I found one day that it had UNINSTALLED just 1 year into having it on my laptop. Tried buying this to renew my subscription and it would not install. -.- So i wasted money shipping it back. WONDERFUL.

I was unhappy with Norton not finding a number of issues that my other security programs did catch. Trend micro in the reviews I found seemed to rate as good or better that Norton with only a slight speed penalty. I am using Trend Micro on a I5 laptop and I don't notice any slowdown to the system. As my Norton copies expire on my other systems I will be switching over to Trend Micro.

this works way better than the mcafee internet security ive been using. got this on the advice of a friend of mine who is more computer savvy than me. glad i did. once installed it is so easy to use and navigate. works quietly in the background and uses very little of my computers resources to operate.i am never going back to mcafee after using this productthoroughly satisified

I chose the Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2014, because I had purchased Trend last year and the year before. It has done well by me in the past, so I decided to purchase the product again.

I'm not sure it is working at all. I've read the directions, and get no results. I would not recomment it to anyone, and will never purchase it again!
