I honestly thought the reviews made these shoes out to be too good to be true and was ready to return them after being disappointed with the material or the make. I usually buy shoes from luxury retailers like Ferragamo or testoni because of quality and design concerns with lower-priced leather shoes, but decided to take a chance with these.Couldn't have been more wrong about my expectations. Out of the box, leather is soft and supple, and the design is sleek and no-nonsense. More than anything, these are comfortable and I can see them staying that way for a while at least. I will update this review if and when they break down, but for now, I am blown away with the quality.

I like them so far, they're still looking nice after a few wears and that can sometimes be an issues for shoes in this price range because the leather is cheap. The only real complaint I'd have is that they're difficult to get on and off but I don't normally wear boots so YMMV

The leather is too thin as another reviewer stated. They are comfortable and the support is designed well enough. The soles are not designed for replacing, and because the leather is so thin they probably will not survive many attempts. They are not water resistant and the seams are clearly done by hand but that does not mean done by masters. I have been searching for some time for boots that are look good with a suit for those days when rain or snow make bringing out the tier-1 suit shoes unwise. These definitely fit the bill. They look like a high quality cap-toe dress shoe when standing. They have a pleasing shape and minimal detail so they look good with legs crossed. Soles are sufficiently robust for outdoor duty but are not conspicuous in the office. Size is "as expected" meaning a bit more generous than dress shoes, I assume to acommodate warmer socks if needed. The laces can be tightened so that the boots are very comfortable with dress socks. Very pleased.

I was on vacation and walked into a shoe store looking for a pair of cowboy boots and tried these on. They we very comfortable but I like just a bit more arch support. We put a pair of Pedag Viva Orthotic with Semi-Rigid Arch... into the shoe. it was the most comfortable fit and high quality shoe I ever had one and I buy expensive orthopedic shoes. When I got home I bought 3 more pair from Amazon and had them within a few days. But shoe purchase ever; the quality control in next to none.

These are excellent boots that look incredible and fit like snug gloves. I wear them quite frequently, wearing them during fencing practice and have even ran a mile in them (not the most comfortable for running, but I didn't expect them to be). They have broken in well with all of the stitches intact and the leather still shiny.
