Nice backpack
I was never a fan of the original diaper bag I bought for myself when my son was born in 2012, it was bulky and awkward to carry, so my husband and I ended up repurposing an old messenger bag. It was perfect for our needs until our daughter came along in 2014 when we found having extra items to carry around and just one large main compartment and one small zip compartment meant a lot of digging around to find the items we needed. Enter the dadgear backpack. We've been using it for little over a month and for the most part I like it.Pros: well made and a nice looking backpack (we have the plaid design) It has a ton of little compartments for diapers, wipes, creams, snacks etc.Cons: There are almost too many zippers on it and I often find myself opening a compartment, only to find it isn't the compartment I want to be looking in, closing it back up, opening another one and still having it be the wrong one. For me, the second con is actually the wipe compartment design, which is meant to grant easy access to wipes, however I have found when I'm using a changing table in a public restroom, there usually isn't room for the baby and the bag to sit on the table, so I'm either awkwardly grabbing for wipes as I am slinging the bag over one shoulder or awkwardly grabbing for wipes as I place the bag on the floor (which in a public bathroom, yuck). The zippers on the main compartment open all the way to the bottom of the bag making it easy for items to fall out.Overall, much better that what we had been using and I think with a little more time to get used to the bag, I will enjoy it even more than I do now.

Perfect for us.
This is a great backpack. I have a toddler who no longer likes to ride in his carrier and who runs fast. I realized I'd need a backpack. The compartments are nice; there are a lot of pockets, and this is a very comfy backpack. I'm kinda small, and this fits me very well. I like the hidden bottle pockets best...they allow me to carry four of whatever...my sport pura, kiddo's sippy, snack container as well as squeezy pouch. My one complaint is that, while the wipes spot is a great idea, and I like it, I have an honest company travel case and it doesn't really work with this. I don't like carrying whole containers of wipes, and thought to get another butipod, but these didn't seem like they would work either due to the size of the square opening. I just purchased a huggies clutch which fits nicely. It is refillable, inexpensive, and the honest case goes in my purse. for reference, the honest case fits, and the flip top will open, but I need to finagle it. A pack of 100 wipes also fits nicely. Not a deal breaker. The large space is huge. Just huge. Since diapers and wipes have their own area, I haven't even begun to fill this to the brim. It will hold extra clothes, a jacket, a blank or and our toddler Tula...and it would hold more in addition to the things I like to carry, which are essentially a wallet, keys, phone, a couple pouches of whatever this and that I feel I need, a beginnings book and a book book. All that and the backpack is sturdy and doesn't get heavy. I think it is a great value and a great product. We decided on this because it will work for dad and I, and, it seemed more usable long term than a few others I was looking at. I think it would do nicely for easy holes, trips to theme parks and the like. The plaid is splendid.

Practical
I bought this backpack for my husband, intending to get a pretty, stylish diaper bag for myself. But I never did. This backpack works great and we both use it. Not so pretty but very practical.

A must-have for every daddy (and mommy!)
AMAZING! Its structured well so it stands on its own (i.e. no toppling and spilling contents), the pockets and sections are brilliantly accommodating of everything baby and parents need for an outing. My husband likes the backpack look, and I like how easy it is to shoulder and carry. Well worth the price. LOVE IT!

Fabulous Functionality but Poor Craftsmanship
Just got mine in the mail and I'm pretty disappointed. For functionality, hands down, this is the best bag that I've found out there. The two front compartments have mesh pockets and even a key loop. I like how this pack can open fully flat. As a cloth diapering parent, I was disappointed to find that only one trim pocket style diaper would fit in the special diaper compartment. However the main compartment is fairly spacious and will accommodate 4-6 cloth diapers. I will likely only carry 3-4 so as to have room for my dry bag and dirty diapers. On the plus side, that special diaper compartment will be great for carrying small baby items like hats and gloves. The included changing pad arrived with a rip in it. This does not make me feel confident in the materials utilized to make this bag. The straps are padded but are not near the quality of a hiking daypack and considering I could have bought a high quality hiking pack for the same price, I'm very disappointed.Dadgear, you guys are close but you need to up the quality or come down significantly off the price.
