It works
It works but sometimes must be picked up and given a shake

It works great, but can be tricky to restart after it runs out of water.
The media could not be loaded. UPDATED A SECOND TIME: It is working again. I think that the problem is related to a feature where it doesn't run if it runs out of water. It can be tricky to turn it back on. I brought it in the house, took it apart, didn't see anything bad, put it back together - still dead. Then I grabbed a damp paper towel and wiped the surface - couldn't really see any dirt, but decided to give it a try. The familiar vibration returned immediately. I brought it outside, put it back in the bird bath, and it has been working for nearly a week.UPDATED REVIEW: I am so sad. It just stopped working. It was good while it lasted, but it didn’t last 2 months. I wish that I had paid attention to the reviews.INITIAL REVIEW: I took this out of the box late afternoon and placed it in my bird bath. It started sputtering and sending a trickle of water up even though it was mostly cloudy with very limited/filtered sun which was behind some tall oak trees. Roll the clock forward to the next day and you will see how it performs in the video. I do not get sun the entire day, but even so, we were able to enjoy this into the evening thanks to the battery. My only caution is that you may want to anchor the fountain so it stays in the middle. The water was squirting so high that the bird bath would lose water really quickly and require refilling.

Great solar fountain
I like this fountain for my bird bath. It's my 2nd one, as my mistake in leaving the 1st one out after cleaning the bird bath. My dog chewed it. So, I ordered the same one and received in a few days.

Nice
The media could not be loaded. It's good. Easy to set up and started right away. It is tempermental, though, not starting sometimes, so I just pick it up and turn it over. I can hear the motor start up, so I set it back in the water. Sometimes it works right away, sometimes I just have to wait about 30 seconds for it to begin. Even in full shadow of the bush, it kept going- perhaps it stores solar power? I have to leave a hose dripping into the bowl I currently have it in, because the bowl is small, and the water shoots up so high as to splash outside of the bowl. So it emptied pretty quick without the hose replenishing the bowl throughout the day. The downside iwth the hose in the bowl to replenish the water is that the intenseness of our sun caused the metal tip of the hose to melt the spout on the fountain. So I may not be able to remove the little spout choice that I put on it. I like how there are several spout choices in a little teeny baggie. It does what I wanted it to do, but I need a large circumference bath, so that all the water can stay in and not have to constantly fill the bath with water. Also, I've only had it a week, and there is already some seperation of the foam ring underneath.

Lop-sided spray, foam float material rots out in 3 months, cheap plastic adapter post splits.
As someone else wrote, it moves around the bird bath/water container of choice and sprays water out of it, so you lose water whenever it is working and you have to refill water every day. After 3 months of use the one I have has two broken areas and Amazon is sending me a replacement as I could not contact Ankway directly. The first thing to break was the Y-shaped piece that accepts the adapters, it split where it attaches to the post on the solar base. I just used it without any attachment for a month, which gave a gentle bubbling effect, which actually was better because there was no water loss that way. However, the whole thing is now unusable because the foam underneath that enables the fountain the float has completely disintegrated and I suspect the foam used was never meant to be in constant contact with water. I critical design flaw I suspect, which I would have liked Ankway to know about and I’m hoping Amazon passes on my feedback to them. The other thing I noticed was that the motor (being mounted off center) tends to make the fountain lopsided, and this is why the water sprays out of the bird bath/container.

Fountain works well. Durable too.
Works well. I removed the sprayer nozzle to reduce the hight the water rose to to reduce the splashing when it fell back to the surface. This stopped my bird bath emptying its self. The birds do that them selves as it is very popular. I bought it is March 2020. I obviously do not leave it out in the cold of winter. It is still working as well as the first day I installed it.still going strong. The demonstration video shows the device precisly positioned on ornamental stones carefully directing the spray of water to the center of the bath. This setup must be simulated if you are to avoid a wet patio and an empty bird bath.I can not yet comment on the life expectancy of this fountain. The copper tube in the water supresses alge growth.

Nice addition to birdbath
Works well in my birdbath even though it is fairly shallow. It was easy to set up and gives a nice affect even without using the sprinkler heads. The picture shows a nice jet in direct sunlight but it also works in the late afternoon once the sun goes behind a tree. The suction cups on the pump can stick to the bottom of the birdbath and keep it from wandering. The pump input has a grate that faces the battery with a small gap. The small gap makes it hard to remove the debris that collects on the grate. I've been able to clean it by scraping the grate with a thin metal shim. It would have been better if the pump input was not facing the battery.

I loved it until it stopped working
I’ve been using this little fountain for the last 3 days, and I absolutely ADORE it! I am using it in my bird bath that is in the sun from late morning until sundown. I used rocks to kind of anchor it in one spot so that it doesn’t float to the edge and spray all of the water out onto the ground. I hope this fountain lasts a long time because it makes me so happy!July 26, 2020 - UPDATEI have been using this fountain daily in my birdbath for the last 3 months, and today I went outside to find it had stopped working :( I’m super sad & disappointed. When it worked, it was awesome! But I don’t think 3 months is a long enough life. I’ve maintained it weekly - making sure to keep it debris free.
