Recondo is a jungle assault boot suited for those working in multi-terrain regions. This highly durable boot provides low-absorption and quick drying features, along with secure footing needed for traveling in the jungle and tropical areas.

Overly tight vamp/toe box
As is, this boot is terribly uncomfortable to just stand around wearing. The top of my foot is pressed up against the vamp and it is quite painful when it isn't causing my toes to go numb.I removed the factory insole and with the increased room it now fits perfect. The only problem is now I have no insole in the boot and there is no cushion. I'll have to replace the factory insole with a thinner one or otherwise figure out something else.Otherwise, it's a good field boot.

Second pair and working on a third. Great looking, lightweight and sturdy boot for any at the ready moment. Sizing is spot on with medium sizeIt took me a little while to get used to my first pair. The boot is rigid with minimal cushioning. That withstanding, it offers superb structural support. The firmness can be equated to swiftness. The book is described as a jungle assualt boot. I assume this means it is suitable and designed for extreme wetlands as well as woodlands or open terrain environment. For me they work just fine in the office and my weekend runs to Home Depot.

Very nice boot...almost perfect.
I'm pretty pleased with these boots. They would be perfect if some refinements were made. They need a better heel cup so the laces would tighten your foot securely to the back of the boot and a bit more arch support would be great. Other than that, they are everything a person could want or need of a boot like this. Great speed laces, very light, very comfortable and pretty cool...they also look good and the sole is very nice. The size was spot on.

Four Stars
for me, they seem to run a half size large. I returned them for a half size smaller, fit better but too much slip in the heels, which lead to quarter sized blisters after a five mile hump with 45 pounds...but thats me, everyones feet are shaped differently. Its too bad, they are nice boots and if the fit were better, I would give five stars.

Absolutely the most comfortable boot I have ever worn
If I could give these 10 stars I would. Absolutely the most comfortable boot I have ever worn.Prefer over my tennis shoes. Very cool in hot weather. They were so comfortable I switched back to my thinner socks. Best thing since sliced bread. BONUS-Made in USA! I was wearing Altama jungle boots until they were discontinued and no longer available. This turned out to be great when I put on the Recondos. will never wear anything else and i work outside every day. I am an old Vietnam grunt and know what a good boot is. Wore out many pair of the original jungle boots.

Well worth the money
For my feet they work well. I wear them 12 hours a day 7 days a week for three months at a time. No problems with the comfort or wear. The only reason they got a 4 rather than a 5 is because they are a little narrow for there stated width.

A bit big.
These were a little on the big side. And the side material (ankle area) wash really thing. Meaning that are not like most combat boots and were very floppy.

excellent hot/warm weather boot
I have found this to be an excellent hot/warm weather boot. I especially like the Vibram sole for walking. Beats the old Jungle Boot type hands down.Based upon price I paid, I think this was an excellent value.I laughed when these arrived... in an envelope! No box, but on reflection, I'd just throw the box away anyway so all the better.
