Awesome pump
I installed two of these pumps to feed two separate houses when we added an above ground water storage tank to our property. Each pump is feeding a separate house being that you shouldn't pressurize the same line with two or more pumps. (I know alot of pumps out there can run on the same line in tandem but it states in the instructions on this pump not to do that.) Honestly I don't have anything bad to say about this pump. I guess to start with the good I would say it's well built and very solid. I researched a few other pump options but the other top choices were more plastic body and not quite as serviceable. Secondly it's fairly quiet. When I close the pump house door I can't hear either pump unless I'm standing in the immediate area (within 10'). Third, it gives great pressure with decent gallon per minute flow. It maintaines 45 PSI when you have 14 GPM of flow. In reality you should almost always have closer to the max 60 PSI under normal household use. Considering that in America your typical sink faucet only uses 1.6-2.2 GPM and a typical shower only uses 2.5 GPM the likelihood of you reaching 14 GPM is pretty low unless you live in a fairly large/busy household. That being said, even if you do reach the 14 GPM I'd say 45 PSI is still fairly respectable considering water pressure on a standard well setup only ranges from 30-50 or 40-60 PSI depending on your pressure switch. Another huge plus for some people is the 110v power vs 220v power other pumps have (many with inferior specs). In closing, there's alot of great qualities about this pump (many that I haven't even mentioned) and I highly recommend it if you are pumping from a storage tank or are boosting municipal water pressure. All that being said, I encourage everyone to do the proper research and make sure the pump will work for your specific application. Davey makes several other pumps in the torrium line that are better suited to different uses and it's important to research that so you don't make a costly mistake.

Works well with municipal water system, may need PRV on input
I replaced an aging Grundfoss pump with this one. It plays well with my municipal water supply which comes into the house at 20 psi (too low for comfortable showers etc) The Davey pump boosted mains pressure to a bit over 80 psi which by local code is too high. We had to install a pressure reducing valve on the input set at about 12 psi-now the pump pressures the house water mains to an acceptable 70 psi at shutoff and around 65 psi with one faucet running. Pump runs a bit quieter than the old Grundfoss and cool-so far no leaks or problems with either the pump or the Torrium controller its been running about a month. Showers feel MUCH better at 65 psi than they did with the Grundfoss at 45 psi.

failed almost immediately after warranty was up
this lovely piece of equipment began leaking (not the connections, the pump itself) almost immediately after the warranty was up. not happy.

Works Well for a While
Worked for about 1.5 years and then it started leaking from the pump shaft. I will try to replace the seals with a BT Seal Kit # 315 MBPLUpdate: This seal replacement kit worked well, we will see how long it lasts.

Amazing, beyond expectations
I have to say I never write reviews, but for this pump (BT 14-45) I have to. I can’t believe I have lived in my house for 20 years with just a well pump. The volume of water it produces is simply amazing, whe your in the shower someone can flush 3 toilets and run the sink and you won’t even kno it’s happening. It also took 50 psi inlet pressure from the well pump to 100 psi at the water spigot for my RV 60 feet away. I obviously had to turn down the inlet pressure to 40 psi for the safety of my plumbing, but I am still getting 90 psi out of it. SOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!

Need to replace check-valve
Replacing check-valve after 1 month of lite use. Other than not holding pressure upon shutting down its a nice pump for the price.

Extremely Happy with this Pump
Previous setup was using a pressure tank, min/max pump & pressure switch. This whole house pump is fantastic and far fewer items needed including no more need for a water closet! Shower, wash clothes, wash dishes, and flush without any problems. Highly recommend.
