I lost About 80 lbs Within 6 Months.
I can't help but give this a 5 star rating.I started off at 260lbs at the age of 19 when I acquired my first. I was unaware of the weight limit, so I ordered a replacement after snapping the plastic portion. Following which, I kept a steady pace, and somewhat cut back on my meals. I replaced my occasional soda with coffee, and ate a bit less when it came to sweets. Nothing much changed there, but my metabolism kicked in after this process initiated. From the month of October to April of the following year, I dropped several trouser sizes, along with going from XXL shirts to M.My routine consisted of performing about 2,000 steps a day every other day. Sometimes it was skipped, but it only required an hour or so each time. There's nothing like kicking on fast pace music and jogging to this. This is my third purchase of the machine due to me flying to a different state about a month ago.It becomes squeaky over time, but WD-40 fixed said issue.

Despite good reviews, it doesn't yield the workout level it ...
This machine makes my back and hips ache. I'm a fit 5ft 2" female 112 lbs so I did not expect to have any issues.I purchased the item based on the reviews, but despite good reviews, it doesn't warn the consumer of the potential injury due to the iinward tilting of the pads which are extremely hard on the lower back with repeated use. The 'twisting' is damaging. It is misleading because there is no product warning to advise you that this is a potential injury point of the machine. It's was expensive, and unfortunately by the time you have used it enough to realize you are getting injured, the return window is up. Very misleading and deceptive. I hope the company is honorable and will give me a refund if I ship it back.

Minimal investment great ROI
I am an avid Amazon shopper and try to always wait until I've had and used a product for a reasonable amount of time prior to reviewing (no matter how many email requests I get lol)So I bought and started using this little gizmo in July 2016. I will admit it came while my sis was here taking care of my animals and home, while on business trip, so she put it together for me. She said it was not hard.I wanted something that would be better and more fun than walking in place. I wanted to get more steps in my day due to I have a very sedintary work from home job.First thing I did however was remove the bungee hand things. They were just really in my way and I prefer hand weights as they are easier to "feel balanced"I will agree with some of the reviews that have said when you first start the tension is much higher than after you walk on it for a while. However, that has not stopped me from going from averaging 2K steps in July to averaging 12K now in December. One thing I like to do is "exaggerate my walking stance" meaning I really put my hips and waist into the action. Will you find better stairsteppers? Absolutely! Will you find one for 45 bucks?? Highly unlikely. If you are looking for minimal investment but are like me and need something to get you moving, I would recommend this.If you are an athlete looking for more home gym equipment this is not for you. Go spend 4 thousand on the real thing ;)I am 56, female, about 90 pounds overweight when I got this in July and with calorie deficit diet and increase in activities I've lost 20 pounds. (had eye surgery that had me sedentary for Aug&Sept even) I hope to someday be able to afford a super nice elliptical / stepper but in the meantime this little baby has been worth every pennyThanks and good luck :)

Better than a monster in your living room!
I hate big bulky exercise equipment, and this is perfect! I don't want a stepper or treadmill taking up valuable real estate in my home, nor do I want the eyesore (since the larger equipment tends to become a clothes hanger of sorts and takes up a lot of floor space!). I bought the one with the hand pulls, but I find I don't like them as well as using small free weights. However, I'm sure there is a benefit to using the hand pulls, like for different resistance, so I likely don't know what I'm talking about. BUT, I DO know that I get in a good workout, and since it's so small and out of the way, I leave it in a convenient spot and find that I use it more often since I don't have to get it out, put it away, etc. (out of sight, out of mind!). The pedometer doesn't light up, and my eyes are too old to see it without bending down, so I use my exercise watch instead, but it does seem to keep a good record. Also, the fact that the pedals push out versus just going up and down seems to make it a lot more comfortable and easy to maintain balance. This stepper may look innocuous, but you get a very high lift, and you don't want to fall off! I would recommend using it next to a chair or something else you can grab on to until you get the hang of it for balance. Overall, I get an excellent cardio workout in addition to valuable upper body strengthening. I love this little gem!

Hooked with this!
I absolutely LOVE this thing! Use it EVERY DAY at the office when feel like bringing my HR up. You can surely feel the burn right away! It's sturdy and very stable, easy to stow as well. Worth every penny---hopefully will last for life.

Great at first but broke after 6 months :(
Update May 11 2020: It broke :( Was on it today, normal use, heard a strange snapping noise, and BOOM! Broken. Pictures to show. So... it lasted about 6 months with using it every day for about 5000 steps average. Keep that in mind if you're thinking to buy. Now I have to get a replacement and walk outside until or arrives *shudders* lol. You can also see in the one photo another issue with this, it creates a black dust from the screws as you use it. Oh well, I'll go for better quality for my replacement.Original Review: I live in a shoe-box bachelor apt, so ellipticals and treadmills are out of the question. I tried going to the gym and running outside, but weather and time were always issues. Also, I love video games and am a bit of a homebody. For anyone like me, I HIGHLY recommend this stepper (or honestly another stepper)! I should have bought it three years ago when I first moved here. This stepper is small, sturdy, easy to balance on (I don't use the bands), has good resistance (it lightens up as you use it, but you can build up a good sweat), and has helped me get active again. I use it while I play video games, which passes an hour easily. It's very light so it's easy to move, and it's small so I can stash it easily if I need it out of the way. I really feel the workout in my thighs, and I was a bit worried it would be hard on the knees but no issues (so far) :)This is a great piece of equipment for someone with little space. Highly recommend!

Love this thing
Love this thing! Was at the Canadian Tire store the other day and got on one of those big elliptical machine to give it a try. The funny thing is that when i closed my eyes, the feel I got was pretty much the same I get from this small twister stepper.I have set it up with a computer rack I also got on Amazon and now able to work and exercise at the same time (see pic). This is Wonderful !!

A little pricey, but quality - just learn to use it properly
I did a search for online reviews and there were sadly very few, but this one did get recommended several times so I was happy to pay a bit more for it, despite not seeing any direct comparison to the more common ones available in the UK.It's a very nice little stepper, solidly built and fairly quiet, justifying some of the extra price in my opinion. (I paid £68.46)My only word of caution would be with the twist action - you need to learn to twist your body inline with 'front' step so that your knee and ankle stay straight otherwise you put a lot of strain on them and in my layman's opinion I suspect you'd injure them over time - but once I got the technique right my knees and ankles felt fine.

Great for short exercising
This little step machine is great value. Set up took less than five minutes. It's sturdy, relatively light, and can be easily stored under a table etc. You only need 5-10 minutes on it to get a great little workout. I wouldn't recommend more than that as it might be hard on your joints over time. When you first buy it, it requires several sessions to break it in (it's a bit stiff at first), but after that you'll be stepping away. I really like that you only need to do 10 mins tops to break a sweat and feel like you got a mini workout. It's certainly not for those who want to do 30mins or more each day, and if you do I think you'll cause some serious joint problems in the long run. But it's great for those wanting to tone up their lower body (it also works the abs) in a relatively short time. No complaints here.

Very short lifespan
Broke within a year for us. We are both more than 70 lbs below the weight limit but one of the metal arms sheared through during use, just below where it attached to the foot pedal. Now it is a large lump of garbage waiting for us to cart it to the dump.
