Perfect size for the average household Gardener, and for house plants. One thing that I did learn when repotting your plants and using this a little bit on the heavy side is to put a layer of just the plain soil for the last 1 inch of your repotted plant then you don’t have this perlite flying away. When I remember to do that, I’m a very happy camper. Otherwise I’m standing outside with house plants using an air duster to blow off the pearl light off the top layer. I like the fact that this PERLITE comes with fertilizer built into it the company tens and makes them very good product. That’s also why it’s a little bit difficult to keep in stock I think. They do have larger varieties for those that need more water movement and that’s something I need to look into see what size works best in the future right now this works perfectly for me so I’m happy five stars all the way.

This Miracle-Gro perlite has been excellent for improving my potting mixes and soil amendments. I use it primarily for my indoor plants and starting seedlings. The perlite pieces are consistent in size and quality with good porosity for aeration. Mixed into potting soil, it dramatically improves drainage which prevents root rot and overwatering issues. The lightweight nature makes the soil easier to work with and doesn't compact over time. I particularly appreciate using this for succulents and cacti that need excellent drainage. The bag is a good size - enough for multiple projects without taking up too much storage space. The perlite is clean with minimal dust compared to some brands I've tried. It's also great for rooting cuttings and starting seeds since it holds moisture while providing air to developing roots. The enrichment with plant food is a nice bonus. For anyone doing container gardening, houseplants, or propagation work, perlite is essential and this is a quality product at a fair price. Makes a noticeable difference in plant health.

I have been using this for years now. I mix it in both my indoor and outdoor soil. It's quite expensive, but it's good perlite. If you want to start seeds, get some coco coir bricks, mix it with this, put it in a well-draining tray or egg carton and you are good to go.

Great perlite, there's a lot of small bits and dusk, but for the price it's worth it, this is the best deal on perlite out there! Overall quality is pretty good, and it works great for soil, I use it in my mix for both Alocasia and Hoya!

Recommended by GPT. It feels light and a little soft. I mainly use it to improve drainage in potting soil. Before, I used plant soil by itself and the roots could stay too wet. I mix about 5:1 soil to perlite now, and even if I overwater, the extra water drains out of the bottom pretty quickly. Works well.

The perlite seems to be good quality. I thought the bags would be bigger, but that is not the fault of the product. The bags are quite small, but work as advertised.

When I purchased this product it was half the price of what they were charging at my local big box stores. This stuff is a great addition to your potting soil and it keeps newly planted roses from getting water logged.
