Wow. I’m impressed
This was a very good purchase. I only have a couple very minor improvements that could be made and this would definitely be a 5 star review.Let’s start off with how fast this came. I ordered on a Sunday during the middle of the virus pandemic and received the package two days later. I expect that with paying for prime during normal times but to pull it off during this time period is amazing.I ordered these cameras after having thieves go through our neighborhood looking for open vehicles to steal stuff from. Normally I am 100% vehicle locked person but they caught me in a once a year occurrence when I forgot to double check it.I researched all the cameras online and decided on these Reolink Poe’s with an NVR. I had cameras before through a telecom company and they cancelled the service and ended their cloud service. I was left with $1000 worth of equipment that was useless because I had no way to record the video or view it remotely. I vowed never to use a cloud again and went with a nvr so even if a company folds and ends their service I could still have the equipment and it would be recording at my home.Unboxing the shipment was impressive. This whole package came in perfect condition. The boxes were flawless. Not even a stain, dent, crease or dimple in anything. The boxes are sealed with a tamper resistant seal so you know they haven’t been opened since they were packaged.I unboxed everything and wired it all up right next to my router to make sure everything worked before I started running wires and mounting cameras. You literally plug the Ethernet wire into the cameras and plug them into the nvr, and then plug one network cable from the nvr into your router. Download the app. Plug a monitor and a mouse into the nvr. The mouse they also give you. First screen comes up and you scan the bar code on the monitor with your phone on the app and bingo all cameras are on your phone. Couldn’t be any easier. No glitches, no problems. Can’t believe it worked without any issues. So then the not so fun part starts with running wires. They give you those also. I thought about WiFi cameras initially but I’m so glad I went with the POE’s. From what I read its a much better pic and much harder for someone to hack into the cameras. No batteries to change. My other home devices aren’t competing with the cameras for the WiFi signal. These 4K cameras are super clear. During daylight they are unbelievable. If I am on the same network as the cameras I am able to view at the highest level clarity. When I leave the house I do have to turn down the clarity on one of the cameras. It is one that I used an existing Ethernet cable for, so at this point I’m not sure if it could be an issue with the bulk wire and crimped ends I used or if it is because it’s a long run of wire. That said even when I turn down the clarity it is still great. I’ve had the system installed for 5 days now and it looks like I will get a full 10 days of recording 5 cameras 24 hours a day. 4 of the cameras are 4K and one is 5mp. And I’m recording at the highest level available for the cameras. Pretty impressive. The night mode is pretty clear. No way your going to be be reading license plates at night while they are driving by but I would say you should be able to make out faces under 50 ft. I can definitely see lots of the houses in the neighborhood at night. I would say some of the houses are at least 100 yards away. So that’s 300 feet I can see in the dark. Granted they are houses and not people. But I can clearly see people walking at 150-200 feet at night. I can’t see their faces but impressive non the less. The sensitivity on the motion detection is also fantastic. So much so that I have had to turn them down from default setting which I believe is around 42 all the way down to mid teens. It was picking up the steam from the exhaust pipe for my tankless water heater at about 50feet.The App. I checked the app before I bought the product. It only had 3 stars. That worried me but I took a gamble because of the positive amazon reviews on the actual product. I don’t know why people have reviewed the app badly. I love the app. You can do everything from the app. There is no reason to go back to the mouse and monitor after the initial setup. Everything you could possibly ever want to do with these cameras is on the app. I am able to set the motions on or off, set the sensitivity, and also block out spaces for motion not to trigger. I can turn notifications on and off in the app. One of the best features in the app is the ability to create a schedule for the notifications. So I turn off the alerts while we are sleeping. Didn’t find it the first night. Was going off non stop. Now 10 pm- 6:00am no alerts. You can also set the nvr to make a chime when it detects a motion alert. These alerts can be customized for each camera. It doesn’t have to be for all the cameras. The schedule can be programmed specific to each camera as well. You also label the cameras from the app also. There are many other features in the app and am still figuring them out. Would by this system again and again. Granted I’m only 5 days in but I am a happy customer right now.Ok now the minor things that would not stop me from buying this again but could use some work. The nvr install took the longest amount of time. I’m talking the actual hanging of this thing on the wall on the plywood. I build things out of wood all day long so I am no amateur with building and fixing lots of stuff. This thing was a pain in the can to get mounted on the wall. The holes in the back that allow you to put screws into your backboard and then hang this up are way to small. I have half a hardware store selection of screws in the garage and I could not for the life of me find screws that would fit threw the big hole and then slide down on the smaller part. You will not be using drywall screw to hang this. Too big. Pan head screws to big. Even when you find heads that will fit it will not slide down to the hanging position. I had to eventually use bolts from wall metal wall anchors as they had small pan heads and thin shafts that worked. It took me an hour to hang the nvr.The bullet cameras are a breeze to hang. All metal. Some long, heavy duty outdoor drywall screws was all I needed to have these up and going. The dome cameras the mounting bracket and well as the camera housing are plastic. Not a deal breaker by any means but they are harder to mount. Same thing as the nvr with the small screws needed. The same drywall screws worked however they have to be perfect placement or the camera housing will not lock to the mounting plate without rubbing the heads of the screws.App connects flawlessly when on phone is on same network as cameras. When I’m on 4G with phone I usually do have to close out app if it was already running in the background on my phone. The cameras always connect if I open the app but if it tries to refresh from background it usually fails to connect. Could be my phone and however I have app refreshing. Not a big deal. I just close app now after I’m done checking cameras. That’s all I got for minor flaws. Fix the mounting on the nvr. Give me some more room for the screws on the dome plastic mounts and this is a 10 star system. Buy this all day long. Get you self some long, thin, pan head screws and learn from my mistakes. The end.I was going to give this 4 stars but I think I’m being picky. I’m going back to 5Got some more info. I am going on my 7th day of recording 24 x7 and looks like the nvr will be full tomorrow. So almost 7 days with the 5 cameras. Took me a little while to figure out how to configure the cameras order while viewing on the app. Doesn’t matter which channel you plug the Ethernet in the back of nvr. I would have thought channel one would always be first camera you see when opening app. Not the case. No matter which port I went in nvr I couldn’t originally control the order of the cameras on the app. I did figure out that the first camera I plugged in would be the last one that shows up on the app. So I started plugging cameras in first, that I wanted to show up last. The only thing that screwed this up was that 4 of the cameras are 8mp and one was 5mp. No matter where I plugged the 5mp in, the nvr would put the camera in the last place. I wanted it in first position. Nvr must give preference to higher mega pixel cameras. So long story short I had to go back to monitor and mouse and change the channels on the cameras manually to get it the way I wanted it. Cant be done from the app. You can change the order of multiple nvr’s in the app settings thats in the menu drop down top left corner but I couldn’t view my actually cameras on that page. Only the lone nvr I have. Still finding new things on the app. You really need to try to click on lots of spots that don’t look like you can click on them. You will find things that can be customized even further. In the motions section you can customize the sensitivity throughout the day at times you choose. Maybe 6am-10am you want motions really sensitive but from 9pm-12am you want to turn them down. You can make it how you want it. Also the schedule setting in the motion section is another spot where you need to click on the blue bar for a specific day of the week to open the new screen that allows you to customize the hours of each day. I originally thought I was just turning off the alerts during those hours but it actually turned of the motion recording. Makes it very hard to find what your looking for if no motions were triggered. You still have continuous recording so it’s there but you have to watch lots of video to find what your looking for. Hopefully I will find the ability to still record motions but turn the alerts off with a preset schedule, while sleeping. You can toggle the alerts off before you go to sleep but I would rather set it up once and not have to remember to turn them off.

Problem Solved. Ida Wang and Cherry Xia were a big help at Reolink. Thank You to both!
Initially the system worked great but I have a D800 camera shown in the pic that has a defect in the bottom right side of the screen. Shows grey during the day and turns white at night. They did send me a new camera 2 months ago but the same thing shows in the image on all devices. I installed updated firmware as instructed with no changes either. There was a CSR that was trying to help but I really needed higher level of tech support. Now they just ignore my emails. I will live with it but will not purchase their products in the future. purchased 4 months ago.

Best Choice
If you have the budget and high speed internet, choose this product with the 4K option and 3TB storage. After a year of service, it has not failed in any way. The install process and set up is very easy for basic users and company support is surprisingly good if you need it. Highly recommended.

Great wired security system that you can also add wireless cameras to.
I like how clear it is but unfortunately not clear enough to see license plates of cars driving by, especially at night. Easy to install. I also added 2 more of the WiFi cameras that have 2 way talk

Good cameras overall
I have mixed feelings on these, but overall am happy. I upgraded to these from a 5MP system hoping to get a bit more detail. These are noticably better as far as clarity in the picture. These also have a noticably wider field of view. That's a huge bonus. However, these only support 20fps vs 25 on the 5MP system and 30 on the 4MP system. This doesn't seem to be a huge deal during the day, but is noticable at night. On my 5MP system I left the camera set to color (no night vision) because when my motion sensor lights came on you could see just fine. When the motion sensor lights are on with these, and night vision is off, you can't even tell that the lights are on. In the dark these are useless without night vision being on. The night vision itself is ok, but you get blurring because of the lower framerates. I also had to mess with the exposure settings a lot as these were very dark even during the day until I adjusted them. It's not quite the upgrade I was hoping for, but overall I'm happy with them. They are an improvement over the 5MP.

Great buy
This reolink set works great. Best bang for your buck. The night vision is good and the quality is crystal clear. I haven’t really tried the motion detection yet but I can only assuming it works great as well. Would definitely buy again.
