This is not a book for beginners. If you are new to the study of Chinese Astrology or not interested in how it came to be, the complexity of star calculations and the like, then this is not the book for you.If, however, you have already studied the basics and really want to know more, then I highly recommend this book. I found it both enlightening and fascinating.

It came early and in excellent condition. I love it, it is a great asset to my library for doing the Sacred Calendars

Effectively, this is one of the best book ever written in English about Chinese astrology. Taoist magicians of the past, has developed one of the most perfected astrological system of the world. Even the Persian Magi did not attained such a perfection. But a very few material has been translated about the subject, and Chinese astrology is steel very incomplete and occult. Indeed the book of Derk Walters gives a good survey of Chinese astrology materials.

This is a totally complete book 5 star in content but is complicated. If you are interested in studying and spendinga lot of time reading a difficult subject this is the books for you. It is complete and covers everything aboutChineese astrology but is too complete for a beginner. You will not be able to do astrology unless youare prepared to devote a lot of time and energy to this subject.

Very comprehensive and full of information. A guide for EXPERTS and I do not qualify, it is a very large TEXTBOOK and any avid knowledgable Chinese Astrology is sure to enjoy it.

This is the most compendious of guides - expanding the study of Chinese astrology way beyond the cutesy twelve animal signs familiar to armchair cultural explorers.

This book is comprehensive and educational, but in my opinion, it is more theoretical than practical, and it is not easy to read as an astrological literature.
