Was on vacation and ran out of tapes I had with me. Was delighted I could still get these good quality tapes to continue capturing our vacation!

Good basic tapes
These are good basic tapes for use in my eight year old Sony Digital8 camera. I hope they keep making these tapes for at least a few more years. Why get a new camera when I can get really good video with all the features I need to transfer them onto DVD using this older camera?I got a decent price on Amazon buying them one tape at a time. It still comes out to be cheaper than driving over to Best Buy - and they come right to my door.

works great with high definition playback
Just got the tape for a high end sony video camcorder I picked up at a yard sale. The quality and resolution during play back is great . Never had a Sony product that let me down.

My teen-aged son enjoys using old equipment "to see how the pioneers did it." These Sony Hi8 HMP tapes earned his seal of approval. These go back to the days when sony was still SONY.

The order came with any problem. I would suggest however checking your local stores for a price as the shipping charge for ordering one item can make the trip to your local store worth the trip.

This is a good quality product that I am using in an older video camera made by Sony. I was not sure if the productwas still available but the seller and Amazon came through with flying colors.Thanks to both.

Good product... but European buyers, BEWARE!!!
I was searching for 120 minute Hi8 cassettes to record a concert shortly. These Sony tapes were the only ones I could find.An unpleasant surprise awaited me. The 120 minutes recording time only applies to the NTSC format. Using PAL (the standard in most European countries), the tapes only last 85 minutes.This information is listed clearly on the backside of the tape, so the seller could have known that. In my opinion they should have listed that in the product details, to prevent disappointment for buyers outside the US and a few other American countries.The only option left for me is to buy 60 minute tapes and record in LP (half speed). Obviously, 60 minute tapes are widely available in my own country. I could have saved expensive shipping and waiting time if only the seller had listed all relevant information on the product page.

Perfect for capturing your special occasions, these tapes feature Enhanced Ultra Fine Cosmicilite Metal Particles, and maintain high RF output even after 200 repeated playbacks. This tape can be used for Hi8 or Digital8 recording. For Hi8 recording, you get 120 minutes of recording time in SP mode, or 240 minutes in LP mode. For Digital8 recording, you get 60 minutes of recording time in SP mode, or 90 minutes in LP mode.
