Excellent contact lens cleaner, just follow the instructions
Iโve been using this for several weeks now, and overall Iโm really happy with it. It cleans my contact lenses much better than multipurpose solutionโthey feel fresh, comfortable, and noticeably cleaner every morning. Itโs also incredibly convenient: just place your lenses in the case before bed and let it do the work overnight. I did have one cleaning cycle where the solution started foaming much more than usual and overflowed from the case (see my photo). After looking into it, I realized it was because I had rinsed my lenses with a regular multipurpose solution before placing them in the Clear Care case. Once I stopped doing that and followed the instructions by placing the lenses directly into the case, it never happened again. Overall, I highly recommend this product. Itโs easy to use, cleans exceptionally well, and is definitely worth the price.

Best Contact Lens Cleaning Solution Iโve Used, but Follow the Directions Carefully
Iโve been using Clear Care Plus for the last five years, and it is easily the best contact lens cleaning solution Iโve come across. In my experience, it cleans lenses more thoroughly than standard solutions. The special case and peroxide-based system create that bubbling reaction while the lenses soak, and I really feel like it does a deeper clean. There was a time when I had to wear a pair of lenses much longer than recommended, and this solution really helped keep them feeling clean and comfortable. I rarely experienced irritation during that period, which honestly impressed me. I would not recommend stretching lens wear beyond what is advised, but that experience did show me how effective this cleaner can be. The one thing you absolutely need to pay attention to is the instructions. You really do need to wait the full 6 hours before using your lenses again. I learned that the hard way when I tried putting them in after only 4 hours, and my eyes started burning immediately. After that, I made sure to follow the directions exactly, and I have had a great experience with it ever since. Overall, this is an excellent lens cleaning solution that leaves my contacts feeling much cleaner than regular multipurpose solutions. As long as you use it correctly and give it the full neutralizing time, it works extremely well. Iโve already recommended it to several friends who wear contact lenses.

Excellent Cleaner & Gentle on Soft Lenses
Been using this brand & the former Aosept for a total of gosh, almost 40 years. Only when I switched to one of those all in one lens cleaners, saline & sanitizers combos, showed how inefficient they were resulting in compromised eye health issues. My soft lenses can tolerate this method for much longer than they were meant to be used. So itโs strong enough to clean & sanitize your lenses, yet gentle enough to not cause harm to your soft lenses. You want a reliable source to sanitize your lenses, this is it. Been using this & Aosept for decades without a problem. I should probably own stock in this company.

Heed Caution, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!
Whoa. This is a great product to clean your lense, but do not under any circumstance get any bit in your eye before itโs oxidized in its special case for at LEAST 6 hours. It has a red lid, red tip, and warning banner, but if youโre tired or happen to make a mistake and fill your normal contact case with this, or clean them with this without the required process, prepare for the sensation of extreme burning, if not a chemical burn on your eye. Iโve been using the product for years because I like its cleaning power and I have dry eyes so I also like the hydra-glyde for extra moisture. However, I recently experienced a chemical burn from mis-using this and it made me fear for my vision. Make sure youโre diligent, and if you share a household, make sure to warn the people living with you. My sister once used it thinking it was normal solution, and a friend almost used it for re-wetting.

From 2 Users of Clear Care Plus
As someone who prefers the product. I feel someone should balance out the negativity and enable anyone reading to come to a resolution. A large number of the 1-star reviews are proposing original Clear Care as a superior product. This could be true for a majority of users. I have Dry Eye as a result of a medical condition. I opted for Plus because an Optometrist recommended it and my standard Multipurpose Cleaner Saline Solution had HydraGlyde as well. I donโt have any experience to speak of, for any Contact Solution that doesn't contain HydraGlyde. I've never used one. I have been using Clear Care Plus for a couple of months now. I certainly donโt have any cloudiness. I know someone who has been a user of Clear Care Plus for over a year, with no complaints. This person before switching almost compulsively put drops in their eyes for cleaning or dryness while using a popular Multipurpose Cleaner for overnight cleanses. Over the course of their first year, I observed a complete behavioral change. I could only attribute the change to the contacts getting cleaner immersed in Clear Care Plus vs. the Standard Multi Purpose Cleaner Saline Solution. I made the switch myself. I believe Clear Care Plus to be the better platform for HydraGlydes purposes. I change contacts on a monthly basis. I have noticed from normal wear that with Clear Care Plus, the contact lenses stay moist longer than with saline solution. By far what I find most impressive is the noticeable difference in the cleanliness and comfort of the lenses. Each day feels like the first, and I can see better. I am sure multipurpose saline solution disinfects or people would be walking around with eye infections. Nonetheless disinfecting and cleaning designate different tasks. I believe Clear Care and Clear Care Plus to be superior at both, especially in the realm of protein removal. Furthermore, I would go as far as to say I think Clear Care and Clear Care Plus to be better preventative care against an eye infection overtime then a saline solution would ever be capable of. I realize comparing a Saline Solution to a Peroxide-Based Solution carries some burden of unfairness. It has been well documented that Peroxide Based Solutions clean better than Saline counterparts but I deem a comparison necessary since Saline Solutions remain the industry-standard. I believe this to be because Saline Solutions are more convenient in the short-term. Saline Solutions recommend 6 hours of immersion but can be removed beforehand if necessary. Clear Care and Clear Care Plus immersion takes a mandatory 6 hours for the lenses to be ready for wear. The increased length of time correlates to the key active ingredient Hydrogen Peroxide. The Peroxide must be neutralized before being put into the eye or it will burn, it wonโt be pleasant. This doesnโt sound safe for everyday use but from research, I learned that if the worst happened the Peroxide wouldn't do any long-term damage. Clear Care Solutions are only 3% Peroxide, this isn't the same strength of the stuff on store shelves, but it does do an awesome job of cleaning contacts. The Peroxide does not naturally neutralize on its own. The included Tube with Clear Care and Clear Care Plus Solution has a special Platinum Disc attachment considered safe for up to 100 uses. Itโs the Platinum Disc in the Tube that begins the process of neutralization as soon as it comes in contact with the peroxide. This is why everyday Contact Cases cannot be used with Clear Care or Clear Care Plus. The same holds true for other generic Peroxide-Based Solutions. I wonโt go into the science behind the method, but the Platinum Disc effectiveness does diminish over time. Clear Care Solutions have simple instructions to discard The Contact Tube When the supplied solution empties and start fresh. In no scenario was one Tube designed to be in use after itโs accompanying Bottle or Bottles has emptied. A pack of two 12 oz. bottles should come with 1 Clear Care Plus Blue Top Contact Tube. As per my experience the Tube will be safe to use through the two bottles provided in the pack. The Tube should then be discarded. The company changes the color of the Top of the Contact Tube depending on the supply size purchased. A 3 oz. bottle of Clear Care Plus solution comes with a White Top Contact Tube. I am guessing the color coding has something to do with the durability of the Platinum-Disc. In my opinion, it may be safer and more economical to design one universal Tube instead of color coding but I don't work for the company. If a wearer experiences any discomfort from contact wear immediately after inserting a contact while using Clear care Plus and the accompanying bottle or bottles has not completely emptied its probably an indication the Contact Tube needs to be cleaned out. I generally clean the Tube every 2 weeks or so by filling The Tube with solution with no contact inside and pouring out the dirty Solution when its time to put the contacts inside. The Clear Care Contact Tube has a very different design, and I think it's more efficient than traditional Cases. The lid can be easily twisted off. There are two compartments with doors labeled L and R attached to the lid. To insert a contact, open a door and place the contact in the appropriate compartment. Pour the solution to the Fill Line on the Tube and screw the lid with the attached compartments back on. The bubble action will begin. Wait six hours, remove the lid, open the compartment that corresponds to the desired eye and done. The company recommends a 5-second prewash before inserting the lenses into the Tube but there is no need to actually touch Solution at any point. This seems more sanitary then dabbing a finger in Solution or pouring into a palm just to get a contact out, even if hands are washed The remaining neutralized liquid in the Tube can be poured out at the earliest convenience and its ready for use, provided it is not the time to clean it or replace it. If it becomes necessary to remove the Contacts and use them within 6 hours. A Wearer could use a Standard Multipurpose Saline Solution and a conventional Contact Case for the time being. The company does make a Rinse and Go formula that is Peroxide Free. However, Rinse and Go does not disinfect. Nor does it have HydraGlyde and unlike Clear Care and Clear Care Plus it contains a small amount of preservatives. Rinse and Go does tout being the closest thing to the human eyes natural tears. I use it simply as rewetting drops, not often but when needed. I am hard on a pair contacts. We sincerely hope this helps fellow contact wearers come to an informed decision. Perhaps, if I didnโt have dry eyes, I would have opted for original Clear Care but the aforementioned User doesnโt have any eye issues and has not had a problem with Clear Care Plus.

Great product but requires specifically followed instructions
Update: I did per directions below. Achieved the proper cleaning action with no overflowing bubbles. After rinsing with saline there was no irritation or burning when I put them in. I have sensitive eyes that can have a reaction to things easily. I found for me personally soaking them in a lens case for @ 5 to 10 minutes with saline solution before putting them in my eyes works the best. I got a trial pack from my eye dr. And then I ordered more. Like many people have said on here bubbling and eye irritation is a common problem. When I first put lenses in holder and cup there was profuse bubbling through cup lid and solution level would go below the basket. With these issues and fear of burning I had a major google search. You tube tutorial was bare bones and the d dprelimary 5 second rinsing of holder before submerging was not shown but was on directions. So I tried without the rinsing first like tutorial. That was even worse. I tried three times but issues kept happening. Finally I found these guidelines to help with bubbling. After which (9 hours later) I rinsed well with SALINE ONLY. No multipurpose solutions. They are in with no burning and no reactions so far. No cloudiness either. If solution level in cup goes to low then add a bit more to it and screw lid back on. Here are guidelines I found. It is a learning curve. One, be sure not to pour any multipurpose solution into the case. Rinsing the case with regular multipurpose solution before putting hydrogen peroxide in is a surefire way to cause a bubble overload. The multipurpose solution adds to the foaming. When you rinse out the case, use the hydrogen peroxide solution, and, if possible, let it air dry. Two, be sure not to fill the case over the line โ and maybe fill it a tiny bit under. When you pour hydrogen peroxide into the case, be sure not to overfill the case. The line is there for a reason. Iโve discovered, though, that sometimes you can even underfill by a tiny amount โ no more than a millimeter, and maybe less โ which can help keep the foam from being too close to the case lid. Of course, if the liquid line is under your contact when you close the case, youโve got a problem and youโll want to add a bit to make sure that isnโt happening. Three, be sure to squirt peroxide onto the contact basket and platinum ring for five seconds before screwing on the case. Many contact cleaning systems, including Clear Care, tell you to do this in the instructions, and it is an absolutely crucial step. I recommend standing over a sink, and, with a gentle squeeze, squirting on and around both contact baskets, and onto the platinum ring, for a full five seconds. For whatever reason, this is a major part of keeping things from bubbling over. Added note: Iโm most likely to shortchange this step (and have it foam over) if Iโm using a travel-sized bottle โ probably because Iโm worried about using it up โ so be sure to squeeze it pretty hard and for the full time if youโre using a smaller bottle. Four, do not shake the case. After you fill up the case and squirt the contact basket and platinum ring, gently screw on the case lid. Try to keep it steady and avoid shaking it, including if you have to walk over from, say, a sink to a spot where your keep your case. Doing this helps keep the hydrogen peroxide from reacting too much at the outset with the platinum ring.

Best lens disinfectants
Itโs a pity that this disinfectant has not ever been available in the local market and that each time I wanted to buy those I had to purchase them online for a double or third fold price or ask a friend to buy them when traveling to the states or I myself have to buy it when Iโm in the states. I wish that this product penetrates the local market so that it doesnโt get sold to us in this very high price because in the states, itโs only $10 and it is worth it being a very good lens disinfectant liquid in comparison to other local and regional ones .
