Really enjoyed this project. The colors are bright and happy, and the design is really cute and easy to follow. I had plenty of thread to finish everything, and the finished product was perfect. I can't wait to gift this to my friend and her newborn (just 2 more months!). My ONLY feedback regards the needles. My kit came with a needle, and the eye was quite sharp. This means very frequently, my thread would actually get cut-through while I was stitching, causing me to have to pull out a section to get a usable end to tie off. I've had this problem with many needles, though, so I would suggest getting a pack of needles for this project instead of using the one provided (I suggest you get your own needles, period, for any project). Again, VERY happy with this kit, very enjoyable project. :)

This is such an adorable kit!! It comes with everything you need, all the thread (separated by color and number already for you), fabric, needle, directions and pattern!! Just open up and start stitching! I am about halfway through already and its coming out beautifully! Very detailed and has a lot going on so I wanted to start early. I am 20 weeks pregnant and I was afraid I wouldn't finish this in time, but I definitely know I will now! Perfect for boy or girl.. I plan to mount in a frame with a pale pink background or pale blue background to make more "boy" or "girl."

This is a great set. It has a colored pattern so that symbols are easy to distinguish. It’s bright and cheery. Took about 2 weeks to stitch. Lots of framing options. I didn’t want to have a bright frame as shown on the packaging just because I didn’t know what the nursery colors were. I opted for a teal color that matches under the train and a white frame to make it less conspicuous.

I was so excited to see I could buy counted cross stitch kits from Amazon at a reduced price from the other websites and stores I looked at. This cross stitch was particularly important because I was making it for my first nephew, who will be born in April 2011. I found this kit on another website and when I searched for it here on Amazon it was significantly less expensive. I received it quickly and was very happy to see how nice the finished product would look (since it is sometimes hard to tell on a computer screen). It was actually a little larger than I anticipated, but so far it is coming out beautifully! It will be a great addition to the little one's room!

This project is super cute but way too tedious. I've done hundreds of cross-stitch projects over the years. This one has SO many color changes and places where you just add a stitch or two of a different color for shading or detail. Honestly, it doesn't make enough difference to be worth all the thread changing. I do love the look of the project and the pattern is easy to read and clear. I guess it's all a matter of preference but I thought I would warn you.........TONS of thread changing! It is NOT for beginners or the faint at heart.

I really like this cross-stitch. It is much larger than I thought it was. I guess I didn't take the time to read the dimensions! But it is beautiful. I can't wait to give it to my nephew and niece-in-law when the baby arrives. I will say that because of its size, it requires a lot of time and patience. I finished mine and just bought another. No other babies on the way (for now); but I figured I'd get a head start so I'm not pressured for time and can stitch at my leisure (and pleasure!). I love the Dimensions cross stitch kits. This kit provides you with the pattern, needle, thread and fabric. The pattern is really easy to read, with different shapes to identify the different color threads to use. There is even a short instructional on the back of the pattern to teach you how to do the stitches that are required in the piece. The thread is labeled by # and more than enough is provided for the piece. I would recommend this 100 times. I purchased this piece for my son who LOVES trains. Even if he outgrows them someday, this will be a nice reminder of his childhood passion

Me encanta. Tiene las instrucciones bien explicadas. El dibujo es sencillo, muy bonito. Creo que en un mes se puede hacer completo. Me gusta que tiene loan colores de una forma tan organizada que no podrás liarla no queriendo. Gran producto y buen detalle para los recién nacidos.

Great cross stitch kit, a lot of fun to do. I found there was plenty of thread; I even have quite a bit left over. The thread organizer is a bit of a pain as the threads all tangled but I used thread organizers which helped. My only criticism would be the fact the pattern only has full square stitches and as a result some of the shapes end up being quite distorted, the hearts for example on the carriages are very misshapen if you just follow the pattern exactly. I adjusted the pattern and used some half and quarter stitches which made proper heart shapes which look much better. Apart from this it's great - lovely and bright and will look great in my niece or nephews nursery. Would definitely recommend it. Probably more suited to someone with a little cross stitch experience.
