Summer Pacifier Thermometer, Teal/White

I like the product and it was accurate, easy to read and easy to use....although when my daughter had a stuffy nose and couldn't breathe well through her nose, it was impossible to keep the thermometer in and her mouth closed long enough to check temperature.

Our baby caught her first cold at 6.5 months and after trying to hold a regular thermometer under her armpit and giving up when it hit 101 and calling the advice nurse, I IMMEDIATELY ordered this product because I remember seeing it when I was expecting.My baby only has a pacifier when she is fussy, so this actually worked out so well for us the few times we've had to use it. She is calmed down and we're not fighting her to try and get her temperature. It does take awhile to register - one time my husband was worried because it had been so long, he assumed she was burning up.This product is super convenient for us and for the price I think it's worth a shot!

I finally need this thermometer and can't use it because the battery says low. Had two of these straight out the package both are garbage now...because you cannot replace the battery. and even though it was never used it is low. And in case someone was wondering yes the power button was off. I had to turn it on to see that the battery was low.

A great idea for children, especially babies in which taking temperatures is always a chore. Whoever decided to make a pacifier into a thermometer was a genius. I have used the contact thermometers that work on the forehead and behind the ear, but these are not always consistent. And, think about when you last went to the doctor/hospital, they stick a thermometer under your tongue. So, I would rather the oral approach for my family which this allows in my youngest.Push the button, stick the pacifier in his mouth and then wait. And wait, and wait, its slow. But, you can see the temperature changing in the lcd screen and when it reaches equilibrium, it beeps, then flashes either green (normal temp) or red (elevated temp). A couple notes, you really need to be looking when it beeps because it doesn't light up very long. Also, the batteries are IRREPLACEABLE which means when the thermometer goes out, time to trash it (another example of our disposable society).Recommendation: Buy because its cheap, it works and it will most likely be accepted by your babies without fuss. Don't buy if you are 'green' or can't wait a couple minutes for a temperature reading.

Bought this pacifier thermometer during this covid19 pandemic as there were no others available in stores and I had to have one. I am able to change thermometer from C to F and once temperature is read it does light up green to indicate no fever and red to indicate fever- but the temperature is incorrect. First reading was 93.7 then I shut it off and turned back on to retake temperature as no way 93.7 was correct, and it read 93.5 and again, I shut it off and retook temperature and it is now showing 95.2. Human temperature is supposed to be @ 98.6. Really disappointing for this to be defective out of the packaging especially when I could not find any thermometers in store anywhere and this one I could get the fastest.

As others have mentioned, it does have a large size and sometimes takes forever to finish a temperature reading. However, my 4 months old boy did not have problems using it and I should specify that most of the times it takes between 1-3 min to read. Only some of the times it takes so long that makes me loose track of time waiting and at the end it simply turns off.Besides that, it claims to read in both Farenheit and Celsius, but mine does not. It only reads Farenheit. I have carefully read the instructions that comes with it and it simply doesn't switch. It may have been a problem with my product, but it is worth mentioning. So I have to keep converting the values to Celcius so they will mean something to me.Also, it is important to say that you cannot change the batteries when they finish. You have to dispose the entire thermometer and then buy a new one.Finally, I should say that the colors of the display are great. That really helps you get the message right away, specially when you still have to convert it to Celsius to undestand the reading.

My pregnant daughter tested. Took five minutes but then she didnt have a fever so maybe it might work quicker with the fevers I would assume. Worked well, just took longer than expected but for the money its well worth it. I would use this for slight fevers or fevers you not sure are really present. I would probably not chance it for a high fever unless it was an only option.

This is a must have for parents of new babies and even older ones that give you a fuss when it is time to take their temperature. We purchased the thermos forehead reader as well which isn't as accurate as the pacifier thermometer. My baby is almost 3 mos. and we use it nearly weekly to just make sure his temp is regulated, and we have NEVER had an issue. He takes it without a fuss and it keeps him calm when he is using it. The display is easy to read with a clear display and the color changing indicator.The only drawback I would say is that babies love it so much, they don't want to let it go!!!!
