iBUYPOWER AM-FX06R Gaming Desktop - AMD FX-6300, NVIDIA GTX 960, 8GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, 24X DVDRW, 802.11ac Wi-Fi USB Adapter, Windows 10

I got this computer because I wanted to be able to play video games with no performance or graphics issues and I can say this computer has not disappointed and definitely delivers on the performance and graphics aspects for my gaming needs, plus the decent price of the computer is also a bonus. I have played quite a few games on it with no trouble whatsoever in regards to performance or graphics. In most of the games I have the graphics settings at or near the maximum. Just to name a few of the games I have played on the computer with no issues are CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, Homefront:The Revolution, Borderlands 2 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to name a few. Several of the games I have played were released within the past few months and weeks, which shows as for the performance and graphics it works well even with brand new games. So, if you are looking for a gaming computer that is below the $800-$1000 price range this may just be the computer for you. The system comes with both a keyboard and a mouse, which are both adequate. The mouse was actually a bit nicer then I was expecting. The only issue that I have had is that the computer doesn't seem to ever stay asleep when i put it in sleep mode. It will just turn back on within about 30 seconds. I have read on line about many other computers (not iBuyPower specifically) that have the same issue and I still have yet to figure out how to fix it even after trying all suggested solutions in online forums, but that issue to me is minimal and is in no way a deal breaker because from what I have read this issue has happened to quite a lot of computers regardless of the manufacturer. The only other possible negative is for anyone who wants a computer that is virtual reality ready out of the box. The only thing that makes the computer not fully virtual reality ready is the graphics card I believe, although I ran a program saying with the NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 960, which is the graphics card that is in this computer, it may be able to run some things in virtual reality but may not run them well or in full performance. It is recommended that the minimum graphics card for virtual reality be an NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 970, AMD Radeon™ R9 290 equivalent or better. Plus, a virtual reality system can run up to about $799, which may be more than the computer itself so if you are looking for a great computer for gaming that won't cost an arm and a leg like this one you may not want to spend so much for one of the extremely expensive virtual reality systems anyway, so that may not even be an issue at all in deciding to get this computer. The tower the computer has is a bit large, but it has many slots to further expand and customize the computer if one were to wish to do so. Unlike some other computers I have seen this one is extremely easy to remove the panels to customize and add to the computer, which as I already stated because the tower large there is ample room to open it up to add another hard drive or another dvd drive or even both. So If you are looking for a strong computer for gaming without a huge price tag and or a computer that can also be upgraded and further customized if you need to do so this may just be the computer for you.Update: A few weeks after writing this review I was finally able to fix the issue with my computer turning itself back on from sleep mode. As I stated in my initial review it turned out to be an issue that many other computers seem to have as I read in several online articles. I found out it was caused by a malfunction of sorts with Windows 10 and subsequently fixed the problem. As I believed and previously stated, it was not an issue with iBUYPOWER itself.

Amazing system! It has some of the greatest components like an nvidia geforce gtx 960. I feel proud to own this!It would be a 5 star, but...the fans are a little loud, but it is fine if you have headphones on.There is also a major, but easily fixed flaw*.When you first get this out of the box and hooked up, it is not ready to be used. You think i am talking about the driver installation? no. once you have everything installed, (excluding games) it runs like an 80 year old. (meaning it is really slow)To fix this problem, you must reinstall windows 10.*NOTE: this only happened to me, i don't know if it will happen to youUPDATE: I love this system, runs dark souls 3 on max with 40-60 fps on average, and i'm planning on getting another 8gb ram stick. I think they should bring this system back for budget gamers.

Mine came with a faulty HDD not a terrible problem but slow start time and computer crashes

So I think this is my third time writing a review for this computer now in nearly a year of owning it. With I first receive this computer I was excited and so thrill as I was ready to game so hardcore on it. I had a line up of steam games ready, past discs of old days pc gaming I wanted to install...this day for me was a long time coming and for that first month I was in heaven. Then issues rear its ugly head when only what I can assume was the Windows 10 huge glitch became my biggest issue! I heard about the problems that people were having or why they hated it and prefer everyone stick with Windows 7 instead. Well I figured if this is such a huge problem then developer and tech would be tackling the issue before long and have it resolved right? So wrong as it took a whole month before the OS could somehow overcome the issues and allow me to use my desktop again. But it was never the same or every issue became a factor at that point. Programs would crash, apps/programs wouldn't or couldn't update properly, and my biggest issue was the computer would restart itself and couldn't reboot as it BIOS ran into issue of finding or loading code thus leading me to contact IBUYPOWER directly. I sent my desktop in which cost more than I figured it to and recently received back with no real details as to what went wrong, but with just what I assume is a wipe or replace hard drive. So now after getting a similar issue as before with the Windows 10 getting Logo locked one day I have started my road to recovering data and program back to my computer and praying all issue are gone with a few month left on my computer coverage left I feel really uneasy but I really want this device to work as I pay a good amount of money for a gaming desktop. I think there are better options out there with computers now being VR capable for the same price or maybe a little more. I feel this was really an OS problem deep down thus why I'm not going to seek a refund or anything like that but for future computers I am certainly considering building or buying from another supplier/company. Sorry if this doesn't help you in your decision but this was my experience.Update/ April 4, 2018Do not buy IBUYPOWER. Do not buy online with Amazon and do not be trick into any type of Warranties whatsoever. It probably goes without saying that computers get issues and unless you work on computers or really computer savvy then you'll need help and trust me when I say that neither Amazon nor IBUYPOWER will be any help. I purchase a warranty on this computer apparently through Amazon that IBUYPOWER doesn't file nor honor unless you get Amazon to contact them and Amazon doesn't track warranties once you purchase them as well. So according to Amazon I have a PDF attach to my purchase saying what Warranties that IBUYPOWER has for their products but nothing says whether or not I purchase or have one. So in order to get help with my computer I have to pay for parts, labor and an outright $150 just to ship for my computer that now could be facing a broken graphic card, maybe a faulty power supply or simple bad update to my display/graphics drive.....I'm just never doing this again and I pray you never have to. At least I got 2 years! :)

DOA. I don't know if ibuypower is to blame or UPS. Taking it into a local computer tech to see if he can find something wrong with it. Hopefully it just got a connector shook off. Will not power on or anything no lights at all.

The media could not be loaded.  This computer is awesome. I am playing newer games on Ultra/maxed quality and it plays beautifully. Case was bigger than expected but not really a problem. I made a video with some game play from cs:go, Fallout 4 and a few other games playing at max settings. Video quality came down a little in the recording/editing but as you can see, No lag of anykind. I also play a few other games not in the video like H1Z1, Dayz, Blade and Soul, FFXIV etc. at max with no problems. Have not tested GTA5 yet..
