Buy this wuad if you want to fly 400ft & tow a gopro hero cam properly
By FAR the best quad for the money & the ONLY 50$ quad you can buy that is full size (phantom size), uses a large 2S 7.4v lipo battery & has any real world capabilities at all. Watch the mod videos on youtube! It will go over 4,000feet if you Replace the controller & drone antennas with 5$ set of wifi router style polarized 6db antenna's. We were amazed that we could fly this thing up to altitude of 400ft+ without any problems over and over again. It requires skill to fly because its a toy quad still in the sense it has no gps or other major self correcting hardware so its all on you and how well you work those sticks. If you can fly this guy you can fly anything. So learn here! The biggest plus about this thing is the hits/abuse it can take its amazing. Several hard n high falls on to concrete and still flying strong. Beat up but no issues yet. Prepare to crash alot if u fly in tight spaces. This thing is best for wide open park or field unless you tune it up to stay at 100+ feet altitude its entire flight and keep it above anything u can crash in to. Thats the goal but beware of 5-10 plus mph winds. Never use the slow mode setting outdoor cuz you need the extra tilt from high mode to counter winds. Its very powerful heavy and fast with handling characteristics of a toy quad so consider that but for 50$'ish its no brainer... get sum extra batts, 3to1 cable for multi charging, 2 antennas with cable/adapter kits watch tutorials, maybe sum extra propellers & you will be set. If u have hard time keeping focus of what direction is forward you can color the quad black, black rear props, bright front props and matching bright front arm decal bands. That makes it very ez to distinguish ur direction at all times. Obviously u kno it can tow a gopro and sum peeps hook up nice gimbals to the point their videos look just like a phantom filmed it. But ide rather buy a used phantom than put too much into these but if u keep it under 100-150 it makes sense for sure. I say buy 2. Great practice for those with ez to fly drones also. This will make u a 'good' pilot. These require skill to fly unlike phantoms etc

Great for the money, more then I expected!
I can not say enough about this quad. I have flown smaller up to decently large R/C airplanes as a hobby for a while on and off but the cost after a crash is a killer, more so the need for flying fields and joining a club and the politics involved is silly. So I decided to try a drone as I am just not interested in heli's. I have never flown a drone and I love it! I bought this to see if I wanted to go into a full featured high end drone with a good camera platform. I am so impressed! First off any negative comments are just common sense mistakes. There is no such thing as beginner r/c aircraft it does not exist without education and practice. Research your craft, read as much as possible, get a sim and practice airplanes and heli's. I can tell you any beginner's first mistake is how they handle the sticks. Fine small movements is the key! Secondly is orientation of the nose, you must understand how to keep orientation through memory both aircraft nose position and fine tuning muscle memory with practice. Start low and slow! Find a pilot to teach you or get a flight sim, even FMS (free) and a $25 usb controller will get you somewhere. Enough with the tutorial lol... So for a dirt cheap brushed quad this thing rocks. Much faster then I ever expected and it's a blast both day and night in any outdoor setting. I am in Florida and flew in 12 - 15 mph wind fine! The battery is nice and through throttle management I average 10-12 minute flights. The camera sucks but it was actually cheaper with the "FPV" than the other X8 models. If you expect high quality video go get a DJI Phantom 3 or 4 and drop $800 - $1500+ and get all the bells and whistles. See my point? $54.99 is not going to get you a 4 digit cost quad. (Common sense) It is basic and fast and I could go on and on about it. I tried headless mode once and it works fine but I do not need it so I do not use it. As far as build quality I slammed it into the ground at full speed doing low high speed passes, I picked it up flipped it over and went about flying. One thing you need to know is high rates are a must, any wind will take it for a ride in low rates so be ready to jump into high rates if you do not use them yet. I bought a second one cause why not? LOL they are dirt cheap and a blast. Range is good for park flying at low to decent altitudes in visible range, which should always be flown in without a spotter and a real FPV set-up. I bought antenna's to mod the TX but it works fine so I haven't done it yet. I am officially hooked and doubt my big 90mm EDF's and propped warbirds will see air time any more. Time for the real deal, I will be spending money on the more expensive platform's with all the bells and whistles. Can't wait for long distance FPV! Syma you did a great job I wish this stuff was around years ago! Syma X8W 2.4Ghz 4CH RC Headless FPV (Real Time) Quadcopter with Wifi Camera - Orange

A Man's drone! Boy's need not apply.
Let me start out by saying I have too many drones.... my wife made me say that. If anyone has a UDI842 then you will love this drone... besides the poor quality camera, get the action camera mount and a 4K action camera. This thing is powerful, very controllable, and last for quite a while on one battery. I'm willing to say I get 12-14 minutes on the stock battery all while giving her hell the entire time. I really enjoy flying it at night when everything is quite and still, the neighborhood is well asleep. That is until I pull out this loud mouth red head! She's a real screamer! All in all, it is a blast to fly. It's amazing seeing such a large drone lean over at a 45 degree angle and fly like hell then stop nearly on a dime. I'd be willing to say it's every bit as quick as my Hubsan H501S with GPS turned off. And unlike the H501S it doesn't fall out of the sky when you go fast then turn quickly! P.O.S. Hubsan! And you can buy 5 of these for the same price. Again, P.O.S. Hubsan! One pointer... remove the prop guards before you fly it too hard. The blades hit them if you land too hard. Personally I take off the camera also, It lightens it up by 26g or so.

Big Drone for Small Price
Fairly solid. I got my sone the X8C, and after learning to fly his I picked up the X8W. They are the same with only difference being the X8C has the memory card built into the camera, and the X8W has the WIFI transponder built into the camera. Camera picture quality is bad at best, think 2002 dial-up webcam. As far as flying goes? Great drones that can take quite a bit of abuse. After a few trips out we got the hang of flying them. Make sure to buy extra batteries so you can swap out batteries while out. Best to learn in a very large field with no trees. The size and power of this drone will hold up to light wind fine, but will drift quite a bit if you go too high and catch a strong breeze. Easy to fly in "Low Power" mode, and very fun to fly in "High Power" mode. All in all, great value for the buck.

Good product. It took some time to learn how to fly, but it works great and it's tough- especially when I crashed it all the time!I wish there was an easier way to get the videos off the phone after recording. the app doesn't provide that option, and I had to use another application to dig them out of the filesystem.

Great quality for the price
Great drone for the price. Excellent for beginners. Easy to control and has great range. Flight time is also very good. Camera quality isn't the best and FPV has a small delay but that is to be expected for a toy drone. For anyone who is interested in the FPV feature it's a great place to start before advancing to something more expensive. Would definitely recommend.

Easy to assemble
My son loves it. Easy to assemble, and he found out instinctively how to make it work (too excited too read the manual). good product for a beginner.
