A fitting knife to remember Zero Knives and the creator Ram
Before discussing the knife, it should be noted that this was the first knife collaboration of Boker and designer Ram Maramba of Zero Knives. Unfortunately Ram passed away earlier this year so this may ended up being the only design from Zero knives and Boker, and that's a real shame because this is an excellent knife for the money. I was hesitant to jump on the knife initially because I heard other owners were unhappy with the fit and finish but ultimately decided it was worth it based on the design and my previous positive experiences with Boker Plus. I was pleasantly surprised when I received mine in person, the barong inspired blade is stunning with the stonewash finish, it's long and sleek yet elegant and beefy at the same time with the wide blade and oversized thumbstuds. 440C while a proven steel is nothing special these days, I like it but it's pretty soft generally for most folks used to supersteels, still for the price you can't complain. The sculpted G10 fits the knife and gives mild texture without detracting from the overall form of it. Blade centering was perfect as was lockup. The liner lock was sticky the first time I opened the knife but broke in after a few of openings. For the money I would definitely buy it again, I only wish Ram was still around to make more awesome collaborations with Boker. At least we have this knife to remember him by, may he rest in peace.

Poorly fit and finished
A knife doesnt have to be expensive to be a good knife. I own inexpensive knives to full custom knives. I wanted the Sulaco because I really liked the design but was wary of the Boker Plus line. Turns out my fears were justified. Boker Plus and Magnum are not the typical Boker high quality. Boker makes really nice production blades but the Plus & Magnum line in my opinion have been extremely poor. The design is nice but this knife had a blade so off centered it was hitting the liner and marking up the blade. I know its a production of the designers custom knife but its was poorly fit together. The blade could not be centered. I spent $20 on an Ontario RAT folder that blows the Boker Plus Sulaco out of the water. The stiff opening, poor construction and fit and finish and horribly off centered blade make this knife nothing short of useless and terrible. I have never had or seen a Boker Plus that I feel was worth what they are priced at.

Large size
Not exactly a pocket cary knife. Can be uncomfortable unless you use the watch pocket of your jeans, alternative pocket of cargo pants, or clipped to your belt.Other than that this is a really nice knife, holds a good edge, very sharp, not terrible for skinning either. Good outdoors fishing and hunting knife.

Great blade designed by a great dude!
I think this is overall a solid knife. I have carried it for about 2 weeks now so I haven't had it a super long time. It was very stiff and hard to open when I first got it, so i took it apart cleaned it out completely and oiled/adjusted the pivot myself. Now it is very smooth and fires out with ease. It is a very heavy knife, the liners are not milled so it adds a bit of weight. The blade is about 3.7 inches if i'm not mistaken so its a lot of knife to carry around but it works well for my purpose as a heavy duty work knife. Last thing I will say is this was designed by the late Ram Maramba, while I didn't know him, I have heard he was a great guy in general. So if you would like to show your support to his family and own a product designed by Mr. Maramba I would grab one of these before they are gone!!

Well made, sharp and just a little stiff
Blade opening is slightly stiff but seems to be getting smoother with use. Came razor sharp out of the box. I've gotten used to spring assisted opening flippers lately so there's been an adjustment period for me getting used to the Sulaco. I would have preferred a tip down clip but it's not a deal breaker. Craftsmanship is very good. I also love the name for some reason. Maybe because I think of the first Alien movie....

The detention is pretty weak. I'm able to flick out the blade ...
The detention is pretty weak. I'm able to flick out the blade with just shear momentum by swinging it. While the knife was closed, I noticed that the blade could rattle slightly back and forth (by a centimeter at most) and it was curious to me so I disassembled the knife to see what was up. To my dismay, I found an odd fitting of the detention parts: the indentation for the detention ball to fit in looked like it was struck more than once to get it and it looks crappy. Picture attached. Also, the detention bearing seems small or fit in shallowly. This poor fitting is what's causing the weak detention and the capability of the blade moving slightly in its closed position. Note: the slight movement of the blade in its closed position exposes the tip just slightly; it's possible to get a nick from it.

Great knife and value!
This knife is an amazing value! I really like it. Mine is perfect. Detente, centering, sharpness, and action are all perfect. It is a fairly large knife and no lightweight. However, it is well built and solid. A lot of belly in the blade.

Boker Plus has stepped up their game
- This knife is pretty heavy and even somewhat bulky but very solid and robust feeling- The textured handle provides a confident grip and works well with the abundant jimping along the blade spine- The overall fit/finish is clean. Everything meets up as it should- Detent is strong and there is no worry about the blade opening in pocket- The blade action is smooth, riding on duel Teflon and bronze phosphor washers. Needs wrist action to really fly out though- Blade centering was a bit off but not enough to ever worry about scraping- Out of box edge was (surprisingly) shaving sharp- Belt clip is a bit too long IMO (can dig into middle finger when opening) but otherwise good. Strong without being too stiffA word of warning. The belt clip screws are have Locktite and do not want to come out, so there is definitely a risk of stripping them. I recommend taking this knife apart only if you have to
