Slightly Tough Read for Newbies
Due to my lack of knowledge on perennials, I'm going to try to be as fair as I can with this review. With a lack of space where I currently live (also from living at rental properties), I haven't planted anything since childhood when helping my father with his garden many, many years ago. With that being said, some of the terminology used in this book is hard to understand so additional research has/had to be done just to figure out what the author is/was talking about. Before reading this book, I had no clue what a rhizome, tuber, polyculture, many others, as well as some of the perennials noted in the book even were, and quite honestly I still have a lot more to learn. It seems I need a manual for this manual!Aside from my lack of experience, the author is obviously knowledgeable about perennials and what I could understand was helpful and will hopefully point me in the right direction should I ever have an opportunity to grow a garden again. Until such time, I'll continue my research on the subject and hopefully will have a better understanding on growing perennials by the time I have an opportunity to build a garden for myself. If you're more experienced with gardening, I'd say this book would be quite helpful.

Not very useful for Kindle Fire
Bought the free. Author used common names for plants they were British so some I Did not know what she was talking about. Charts were to small to read on Kindle. They also wouldn't enlarge. Everything was metric and centigrade, so that wasn't useful for me, anyway. Generally speaking, I didn't get any new information from this book, but it was also free. Generally a waste of time for most gardeners in USA.
