Works exactly as I wanted it to
From my brief experience with this remote, I'm very satisfied. I've currently got it controlling a Projector, my XBox 360, a Raspberry Pi, an Audio Receiver and an OTA TV Tuner. My absolute favorite feature of this remote (and the sole reason I bought it) is the 'Learning' function. Basically, you can place any of your spare remotes in front of this one and it'll learn whatever signal you throw at it. The best thing is that you can assign any feature from another remote, to most any button on the RCA Remote. That means when I change to the 'DVD/VCR' preset on this remote, I can control my XBox and Audio Receiver without having to switch to another preset. All because of the learning function! Want the same function on two separate buttons? You got it. As long as you can point an IR remote at it, it'll learn it.My only gripe is that some of the preset codes don't cover all the features of the device. Both of the 'Microsoft' presets in the manual turned my 360 on and off, as well as giving me access to simple menu navigation.. but functions like the big 'XBox' button and and the 'X' button itself were nowhere to be found (the ad skipping button on YouTube!). Fortunately, I had a 360 Remote lying around and was able to teach the RCA all of those commands very easily. If I didn't have that 360 remote though, I'd have to find access to one by either buying or borrowing (360 Controllers don't communicate via IR, only the remotes which are generally sold separately). The instructions made the claim that too many Learned functions could make your remote run out of storage space. I have not run into this issue, and mine has over 20 learned functions at the moment.Changing the batteries does not wipe the data, and it even has a button to enable backlighting! You have to reach your thumb way down near the bottom to push it. No bumps so you can feel for it easily, but the button is a bit bigger than the surrounding ones. Just, the whole point of a backlight button is to see the remote in the dark! It would've made a bit more sense to put it in an easier to reach location, like that empty space above the navigation buttons. Not enough of a gripe to warrant removing a star, seeing how the function works as intended. Plus it's a neat neon green!Another aside is that the remote is glossy. I would've preferred matte, or just.. anything not glossy. It's not just the front, either. The entire shell of the remote is glossy plastic! I'm not too worried about it, but it's noteworthy if you're a stickler for fingerprints. From what I understand, this remote can also do a bunch of other stuff I don't really care about. All I wanted was to replace a stack of remotes with just one, and that's exactly what this allowed me to do. Setting it up was a breeze, and my only regret is that I waited so long to cheaply alleviate a minor inconvenience!

Works with some new and old equipment. Does take a little effort.
I just received this remote and it does seem rather light so will post a follow-up in a few months regarding it's durability. For now it is working fine with direct codes for a new Sharp TV, an older XD Roku, an older Toshiba DVD, and an ancient (10+ year old) Kenwood audio receiver. The quick start guide didn't help at all nor did the "auto program" feature but when I went and tried direct code entry in manual mode all the above were recognized fairly easy to set up. The manual is limited (can't see any mention or assistance with the four colored buttons at the bottom that the sales sheet mentions as for "advanced" functions of sat/Cable boxes for example). This is not an intuitive remote but if you only need basic functions and can use direct codes it seems to do the trick. I haven't tried the learning feature or macros and remain a bit sceptical on those since the basic setup and auto didn't work easily but I'll leave final comment on that to someone who has spent a lot of time and tried them. The multiple power on feature did work and that is very handy IMO.With the Roku I have this doesn't seem to easily go "back" or "up one step" and some of the transport buttons (stop for example) don't seem to be recognized. I can hit menu and get to the main RoKu screen and then use the arrows + OK To navigate anywhere I need so it's not ideal to start from scratch each time you want to stop a streaming show and go to another but it's possibly with a few extra steps. Not a deal breaker for me as I am just happy to use very basic functions and have ONE remote including the RoKU but some may find this an issue. My other quibble is ergonomically the center arrows ok/enter button are a little too close together. You need to press the enter button a lot and it's so small it's very easy to accidentally hit one of the arrows as well. Would have been a better design to "float" the enter button with some space around it before you got to the arrows I think. With some care and patience this might not be an issue for most. For now at $10 this was a great purchase allowing me to get rid of all my other remotes including the older Roku. It's nice that it works on older equipment and even apparently has codes for VCRs. Time will tell if the buttons wear out, etc (it feels cheap) but at least it's not $30+ like some other remotes that also feel build at this quality level. If I get 3-4 years out of it doing basic duties for all my components I'll be very happy and it *seems* like that is very possible.

Cheaply made -- go with the 3-Device RCA Remote
The remote was easily programmable and works well on all the devices, however it has a cheap hollow quality (probably because it is larger than it needs to be) that I don't care for. It works on the Roku in addition to tv and vcr which is why I bought it. However, it only has arrows and none of the other roku buttons. the little grey 3-device RCA Universal remote control which I also bought for another tv is much better quality. The 3 device is hefty but not heavy, works a little more fluidly, and also has a "back" button which this remote does not--that is great for Roku.
