Easy, Reliable, Best Affordable Monitor Out There
In the pictures: 1. Cuff, Adapter and Monitor 2. Adapter and Cuff Ports 3. Cuff pulled over a glass showing hard flexible portion with softer Velcro portion beneath. (the stiff portion slips over upper arm then snug it into place pulling Velcro around). First, why did I choose the BP785N model. 1. Good price. 2. Best reviews/ recommendations (Omron) 3. No auto transfer to phone or online. Transfers requires Software and/or Apps. If you don't intend to use more than 6mo to a year your software will last but after that updates and new editions or support ends and your stuck with something that may not work. I don't mind inputting into my phone manually (there's an app for that called My Heart on Google Play). I also downloaded a fillable PDF log form to track my readings Am/Pm that I can print off for Doctor's records. When setting up the monitor focus just on that. Don't hurry. If you don't have batteries on hand, don't worry, this model comes with an adapter. FOLLOW MANUAL! Start on page 10, 'TruRead'. It is the most accurate setting. I found that the 60 sec intervals work best allowing you to adjust or drink water between readings. Practice putting on/off arm cuff a few times so you aren't getting frustrated before taking a BP reading. Set monitor to '1' for your reading using '2' for a second person in your home. You CAN"T remove a single reading from the monitor so don't try, it will dump ALL! If you doubt your results take another full reading session and log it on your form or phone. There is a 'Guest Mode' (pg17) that allows you to take readings on others and these are erased when you turn off the monitor.

Nice Machine with Accurate Readings
Nice little machine. Cuff is “pre-curved” which makes it easier to put on. I’ve had limited mobility in my shoulder for the past year and that’s made it much easier before and after shoulder surgery.Always have trouble with the digital machines at the doctors office since the cuff is usually too small and gives false high readings (I’m 6’3” with bigger than usual arms), but this machine is consistent with their readings when they do it manually. The cuff on this is perfectly fine for my arms and everyone from my girlfriend to my mom have used it, so I’d say it’s truly “universal”. Leave it out and people always want to test themselves, so it apparently can double as a great interactive center piece for your coffee table too.Screen is easy to read, setup isn’t overly complicated, and it records your readings if you want to go back and document them to take to your doctor. Be warned, the recording part only works if you leave it plugged in, or have batteries in it. Always better to write it down than to trust the machine, but it’s an option if you so choose.

Works well
This blood pressure monitor seems to work quite well with only a few minor comments. The arm cuff is not entirely soft as it is at the doctor's office. The part of the cuff that goes around the arm is stiff but can easily be pulled to go around my arm. The rest of the cuff is soft and easily wraps around the arm.Unlike the automatic blood pressure monitors at CVS, Walmart, etc., this one does not over-inflate so my arm does not feel like it's in a strangle grip. For people with naturally high blood pressure, this monitor has the ability to inflate to a higher pressure by holding a button down for 3 seconds. The buttons are a little confusing, but I'm sure I can get it after a few more tries. I've only used it twice so far. Upon turning it on for the first time, the Start button only turned it on. But after the initial setup, the Start button starts the inflation of the cuff - even though the display is blank. (Pressing the Start button also turns on the display.)I like the large display, but the physical size, along with the stiff cuff makes it difficult to take with me on airplane trips where I'm trying to minimize the size of my luggage. I would have bought the smaller wrist blood pressure monitor, but my wrist is too large for it.

This is by far the best BP monitor I've had
This is by far the best BP monitor I've had. I've been using the Homedics 300 series for years, and this one 'far surpasses' it in function and ease of use. It even looks better, and has a lighted display. This is the best designed cuff I've ever seen. I am a retired LPN and have used manual stethoscope and cuff styles but this cuff has them ALL beat. It has a springy enclosed, wide inside band that hugs your arm (much like a bracelet) and then secures with Velcro at the end. This makes putting it on amazingly easy. And the electronic mic is situated perfectly over the artery if you just line up the tube down the middle of your arm. It's engineering obviously was well thought out. It doesn't 'over-inflate like the Homedics did (a lot,...sometimes so much it hurt and I'd have to stop and take the cuff off and start over! It allows two users, and keeps a 'three time average' for either. All the setting up is so easy, I can't believe anyone would find it difficult. Accuracy was very close (pulse was spot on) at my Cardiologist's office. Love this unit.
