Great travel fins over booties.
I was looking for travel size fins that would work with booties. I used Cressi 3 mm neoprene booties with rubber soles to protect my feet against sharp corrals in French Polynesia. My regular shoe size is 10.5 to 11 and I got size 11 booties. This fins in Regular ( 10/12) fit great over the booties and let the foot slide in almost all the way. Fit was a bit narrow on top at first but stretched and molded fairly quickly. Silicon straps were easy to use and very secure and comfortable. The propulsion was decent, not the strongest due to size and design but definitely enough for surface snorkeling. I would hesitate to use these for longer dives but I spent up to 2 hours at a time snorkeling and would feel cramping in the calves only in the very end. Decent power against the mild to medium current as well. Once tried to go against strong current and was basically treading in place, again to be expected.I think these are excellent travel fins for snorkeling. I was also surprised how much I liked using fins over booties versus bare feet - got zero blisters - whereas barefoot I usually would pick up a blister or two. Without booties you would probably have to go two sizes down and I am not sure if they would be as comfortable.

Love them
I started diving with split fins, then my husband bought me some trendy, heavy fins that were bulky and chafed my feet. So I decided to try these to change things up and I love them. They are shorter so they pack easier and they are easier to walk in. He says the color (aqua) makes me easier to spot in the water. We dove in the Keys with some current and I had no issues with propulsion. And I had none of the issues with the strap that reviews on others sites refer to. They are also true to size. When they arrived I thought they were too wide, but it turns out that having some extra space left to right, even when wearing scuba shoes, is great for comfort with no affect on performance.

Excellent, no frills
This is an excellent option as a travel fin. It is very hard to find a travel fin that will fit over a dive boot, and is 21" or less. My goal was to find a fin which small enough to fit in my carry on, but which I could also use with a dive boot. I was traveling to a location with a lot of sea urchins and wanted to be able to walk into the water in my boots and then slip my fins on once I was further out.I initially had looked at a a Cressi Palau, which for my size would be about 18". A good size, however, when I tried them on I quickly realized that they would not fit with a dive boot on. I looked at other dive fins as well. But unless I was willing to spend $180 for the ScubaPro Go Sport fin (which was still over 21") there really wasn't anything else on the market that fit my needs. So the short version is if you are looking for a small dive fin, that works with a dive boot, this is the best choice out there (as of writing this review). One of the concerns I had heard from people about this fin was that the silicon straps can be problematic. This certainly turned out to be true, and why it only gets 4 stars. They were not as bad as reported, in fact I found them to be very comfortable and easy to slip on and off. However, sometimes the strap came off in my hand while I was putting the fin on, or while I was about to get out of the water. Usually I caught the fin, but a couple times it dropped and luckily I was in shallow water.I think if I were doing dives in deep water from a boat I would consider a different fin or possibly replacing the strap. I probably would replace the strap for a future dive trip. But just for snorkeling this fin is fine as is.One more note, and this is probably true for most hard fins like this, it may take a bit more muscle power than you are used to with a softer rubber fin. So if you haven't used a hard fin before, I would take this for a spin and just get used to how to kick with them before going out on a long snorkel excursion. I found once I got used to the motion required they provided quite a bit of power, certainly more than the Cressi fins I had looked at.

Just fit in a standard carryon and great propulsion!
These just fit in a standard TSA approved carryon. The pink is fun and highly visible in the water. Effortless propulsion even in stronger currents. The stainless steel heel spring seems durable. Have been on 20+ dives with them and I wouldn't change a thing!

Very pleased
I love these fins! They are small and stiff and I was concerned I would be left behind when diving with my buddies but they give me plenty of power. Basic strap is easy on and off while also feeling secure and unlikely to come off by accident

Excellent Fin
This is an excellent fin for the money. It's shorter than many, so it's easy to travel with it in a carry-on bag. It's versatile and well made. It's strong enough for currents and stiff enough for easy maneuvering. Flutter, frog and other kicks are all easily done with this fin. I have a lot of fins, some much more expensive than this one. Thiis is a great value.
