Son loves thomas and friends
My son loves thomas so he loved this character however the packaging it came in was all messed up and not suitable for giving as a gift or to anyone other than your own kids. I did get a refund so I can't complain too much.

Excellent choice for my two-years-old son, he loves this TV show and make me watch it with him over and over again (Excelente opcion para mi hijo de 2 años, él ama el programa de television y me hace verlo junto con él una y otra vez)..

Durable die cast metal, fun toy
I bought this for my son after a long search of a thomas the train item that can withstand the way he deals with his toys (which is not always a gentle way), so at first sight the item seemed smaller than i anticipated, but that didn't seem to bother my not yet 4 year old... he seemed extatic to have it and played with it immediately after receiving it, it really appears to be durable and well built, exactly what u'd expect from a die cast item! It says a lot of words, like "tout touuut .. i'm gordon .." he loves it and i like it too, it's just the size that i wish would be bigger but well he's not bothered. It doesn't of course run by itself, he should hold Gordon and take it back and forth to entertain himself. It was also well packaged by amazon, got here perfectly (on the other side of the globe)

Talking, lights and noises. Excellent piece.
I bought my son the Take-and-Play set with other magnetic metal trains which did not make noise or have lights. I decided to buy this one for him upon browsing through Amazon. The train does everything except move on its own. My son loves it and I just wish I had gotten the others with these functions. The light and "chugging" noises keeps my son entertained. I highly recommend this train and others that do the same thing.

Might tough trains!
This is one tough toy - thanks to its die cast construction. Both of my kids love pushing the button to hear him speak and whistle (at least 6 different phrases and sounds). It gets lots of play time, and is dropped quite a bit (not on purpose though) by our 1 year old as she carries him from room to room. He just keeps on chugging along as you push him. While it's dissapointing that these metal trains do not run on the wooden railway system, they make great floor toys with their free wheeling and extreme durability. Parents do need to be vigilant with their little ones, though, as these trains are quite heavy and will hurt if dropped on little feet, fingers or heads. But for kids who are un-intentionally rough on their toys, these trains will undoubtedly be the last toys standing after years of play. Highly highly recommended, not only by my kids, but me too.
