First smartwatch
This is my first smartwatch, I was undecided if I should've of gotten this one or the Galaxy active 2. Also the reviews of this watch mentioned some complains that I was worry about. Mostly about the audio, battery life, sleeping tracking, getting unpaired with the phone and stopped working after 1 or 2 months. But I still bought it to give it a try since it looks amazing and it haves everything I want.So today is the first day I used.- battery life~ is at 53% after using it the whole day with everything turn on. I didn't expect for the battery to last more than just a day or two since is like a phone on your wrist, my phone battery life is only for a day or two. Not a big deal. At least for me.- Audio~ I had some problems with the audio but it was because it needed an update that's it. Now is working just fine.- Sleep tracking~ I haven't checked that yet since I don't care about it that much, I don't like to sleep with something on my wrist to be honest. Might check it tho...- Unpaired to the phone?~ I didn't have any problem with this. At least not yet. I saw like this cloud on the top but I still got the notifications and everything so idk if that's a problem or not?I will come back later to see if this watch keeps working.*Update*Well everything was going just fine with the watch. I was actually impressed with the battery life since it lasted 3 days. But I had a problem today. I don't sleep with it at night cause I'm scared of breaking the face or something. I fell asleep on the couch today in the morning and when I woke up to check the time it didn't want to turn on. I was so confused because it had 100% before falling asleep so I put it to charge to see what's up. It didn't turn on not even while charging. So I asked my boyfriend for help with it. And it started buzzing but didn't turn on until a few minutes. There was this thing saying "no command" not sure why that happened tho I didn't do anything to it. I'm afraid of it to be broken since it costed a lot of money and I'm really overthinking if I should return it or keep it to see what happens.Update....So I returned my fossil smartwatch. Don't get me wrong is a nice watch and all but I really didn't need it. I didn't even used that much, just for music and notifications. I bought a phone and some earbuds with that money which I will give way more use.

INACCURATE ACTIVITY AND CALORIE BURN (NOT BASED ON HEART RATE)
In comparison to samsung Tizen and fitbit, the wear OS software was initially really buggy in the setup, but after set up I didn't have any more problems. The google fit app is not great there aren't a lot of actual features as compared to fitbit. My biggest problem with the Fossil on wear OS platform is that even though it can track heart rate, it does not incorporate heart rate into your activity calorie burn. I entered my height and weight into google fit before working out. For a test, I did a kickboxing workout with the Fossil watch on, and after a 55 minute workout, it said I burned 550 calories (about 10 calories a minute), while my fitbit charge 2 which I wore on my other wrist said 400 calories burned, which felt more accurate. I am 5'4" and 135 lb. Later in the day I took both watches off and set them on a table, started kickboxing workouts and walked away. 10 minutes later the Fossil watch said I burned 100 calories (10 calories per minute while the watch was off my wrist), and the fitbit Charge 2 said I burned 10 calories in those 10 minutes which is a more accurate estimate of my basal metabolic rate (about 1300 calories per day BMR). So the Fossil is simply using a baseline calorie per minute per workout that may be based on gender/height/weight, but that does NOT vary with your actual activity intensity or heart rate. I had the same problem with the Samsung Galaxy watch, it also uses a baseline calorie per minute per workout that is invariable. I don't understand why these watches track heart rate but don't incorporate them in to the activity. The Fossil is a great smart watch but not accurate for those wanting activity calories or trying to lose weight. I am returning the Fossil and sticking with my Fitbit Charge 2 for now.
