Q: I'm considering this for sfx/costume makeup, can i use it with other brands/colors of makeup as long as they're made for airbrush use?

Maybe. You’ll want to research that the needle size of this airbrush gun is large enough for the makeup you want to use. Otherwise you’ll have clogging and a big mess and subpar to awful results. Also, be certain the power of the compressor is strong enough for optimal use with the specific makeup you are wanting to use. The included compressor is a nice quality compressor with adjustable speeds, which is very useful. And, the included air brush gun is a very good quality gun. So, as long as the needle size works for your makeup, this gun will not disappoint. It is one of the best guns of its type and size and very easy to use. Hope that helps.

Q: I can't open the paint well, it won't budge. and air blows out of it without even touching the trigger. never even used it. did i get a dud?

Twist the small cap on the well. Try rubbing warm water over it to help loosen it up! Air comes out and even more when you pull the trigger. Paint shouldn’t really come out until you pull trigger.

Q: Why does the airbrush gun continually blow air? My other temptu gun only blows when i pull the trigger, by continously blowing it will waste product
