Best buy for the money if you need a playe carrier to use under a load bearing vest. I already have a vest with molle, but wanted the additional ability to carry plates. My choices were limited. I grabbed one of these to put plates in 11x14 to wear under my guardian otc over vest on duty. Works perfect. If you already have a chest rig, etc, this is your answer! My Spartan 11x14 plates fit perfect, no complaints. Ive seen some negs bout this being substandard for putting weights in for workouts, well... thats NOT what its for. 7 years on SWAT, and i assure you this works exactly what it is intended for.

The area to hold your plates isn’t created well. I had to add foam to the bottom to prop my plates up to the top of the carrier. Maybe 11-14’s would fit well though.I end all amazon reviews like this:Although I enjoy amazons ease of use,I feel guilty supporting a company that is fighting freedom of speech in the USA

The vest is quality made with heavy duty 4 to 5" thick velcro cumberbun like mid section straps that really hold well. The vest is more suited for plates under 11x14" plate or 11x14" soft. 10x12" curved plates fit really good and are better suited for this vest. You may want to get 1 size larger for your frame. This vest is not made for side plates and does not come with attachment points.

'GREAT GEAR!'...In Truth Its Up To The User!...Yes we live in troubled times so It has to be said that at times Personal Protection Items are Needed etc!.Now everybody's needs are different???.Myself I no longer work in active journalism, But at times i still have to visit Troubled Areas!.Now this Vest or Plate Carrier is in truth the best of Both Worlds as:A. With Modern thin Armored Places in the pockets the Vest can be worn comfortably under a shirt or light jacket offering good but concealed protection.B. If your unfortunate enough to be in an Area or Region where open fighting has broken out.Or say if you work in Law Enforcement , Or have something to do w executive protection or Security/Armored Car services this Vest will work well fitted w the Heavy Steel Plates and worn say openly outside a Uniform or Field Jacket as the Velcro fasteners are quite adjustable sic!...PROS:Excellent Quality!Very Very Reasonable Costs!.Thin Vest/Carrier w Lite Plates/Kevlar is ah 'Very Discreet'.If needed - It Can - carry Heavier Plates/Armor!...CONS:Heavy Steel Plate/Armor can be Hot and Tiring to wear in warm weather.This comes in different colors so watch ordering a dark color if you wear Light or Thin Shirts a lot!.If you live in a primarily HOT area expect to Laundry Tee and undershirts a LOT!.Now there is nothing exotic or romantic about protection gear, Or body armor, In concept its like having an alarm system on your house, Or a Double bolt lock on your doors.Its Life Insurance period, You hope you have have to use it but if the need is there its available.I think of it as just 'Another Tool' in my task to keep me and my family safe as its really just Safety Gear!.TIPs and TRICKS:Now if you wear one of these a lot and in hot areas you will go thru a LOT of tee shirts.You may really want to spend a couple bucks and get a couple of ah 'Fish Net' tee or undershirts to wear under your body armour its lots more comfortable and Amazon has these available also.Myself say once everyother day I like to wipe the inside of the carrier with a slightly damp towel an if a lite amount of lightly scented dish soap is on that towel then good....Others will just give it a quick dab of Spray deodorant, So what ever works for you is fine, But for me the deodorant trick is a good one especially if you know you are gonna be out in crowds a lot.....Now if you've never worn one of these before you may want to take a stroll first w out plates just to get the straps adjusted right.Then mebbe the Nest Day slip the plates in and walk around the House first or basement first and then readjust the straps settings until you get used to it and get the settings just right!.....A WORD TO THE WISE:Yes this is a Protection Device but the word protection starts w you!.Even in Law Enforcement I NEVER advertised I was wearing Body Armor as the general public didn't need to know that, Several Officers were - Deliberately - shot in the Head by suspects who knew or suspected they were wearing Body Armor I saw no need to talk about this and you don't either.We were told if you want to LIVE a long time keep your mouth shut, Hopefully you will too!.....THE OTHER HALF:UH the Little Woman, Or the other half sometimes gets a little curious?Now my bedroom has no windows so i am not worried about the neighbors, But the love of my Life gets to see a few things others dont, Now some guys who wear Vests tell the Wife:Oh this is just a 'Hunting/Fishing Vest...Me I tell Her, Oh the Doc says I need to wear this 'Back Brace' for awhile, See it has uh 'Inserts' to keep from straining my back just like the ones at work sic!....See that way i keep the peace at home, But I still have extra walk around protection!...So what ever works for you works, And wear your new Body Armor in good health!...Kudoes to the Seller!.High Marks to Amazon!.A Happy Camper!.IndianaED!.....

Great vest, well made and sturdy. Only complaint is the plates that fit are actually a little smaller, it's more like 10x12 but hold my ar500 plates snug. Great buy for the price

I was happy to receive my vest as soon as I did. Not to mention my plates came shortly after to go inside my vests. Love it.
