Great Sheer Foundation Replacement for Fair - Medium Skin!
So I bought this because I am trying to go more makeup-free and focus on the health of my skin. I also wanted something I could use during the day to polish me up when I feel like having a little extra oomph. This is so much better than any foundation I ever used! No cakey look, no powder look, no greasy look (It does leave me dewy by the end of the day which I feel makes me look luminous), no mismatch coloring to my natural tone and I could NEVER find a foundation that matched me. It provides me with a sheer coverage….but it color corrects redness and acne without covering my freckles...also lessens bruise-like under-eye circles.Features at a Glance:ONE STEP, TRIPLE ACTION – With the Glossiva Color correcting facial Primer you get triple action rolled into one.EFFECTIVE COLOR CORRECTION – The Glossiva skin brightening Primer fights again three types of unwanted skin discoloration at once.PRIMING AND SUN BLOCKING – Prime your skin before your beauty routine, and ensure that it’s nice and moist underneath your makeup.Pros:Great Foundation Alternative!I haven’t tried it but I know it would look beautiful under foundation and powderLasts so long!My skin looks beautiful and natural with this. For me, it is like a primer, sun protection, tinted moisturizer, color corrector all rolled into oneLight scentCons:Probably wouldn’t work well if you have overly oily skin….It has a scent but mine was not chemically. It wasn’t heavy at all and it went away. I would not have known it had a scent had I not stuck my nose to it. If you get one that smells bad...it was probably a bad batch.I like to layer my skincare...serum, lotion, etc. so it was a bit streaky putting on with my hands but a beauty blender will fix that. I don't see that happening if you're low maintenance on skincare. It did not slide around over my skincare products all day. It stayed put and I honestly think it looked prettier and prettier as the day went...which we all know is rare with any cosmetic product.............UPDATE.........I used the Aesthetica Cosmetics Beauty Sponge Blender and it gave me a flawless finish with this primer. No streaking, no pores, brightened complexion, no pilling.

What's that smell?!!!
I looked up so many different primers before finally choosing this one. I will even admit that the bottle looks so cool that it did play a part in my decision. I, of course, read the reviews as well but absolutely nothing could have prepared me for that smell! Omg! I was so excited when the package arrived! I hurried into the kitchen to open it and the bottle was gorgeous! I pumped a pea size amount and put it on the back of my left hand. It did not come out different shades of color but already blended. It felt very thin and seemed to just disappear on my skin so I planned to let it dry and see how it looks and try applying some more. While I was waiting for it to dry, I started smelling something that smelled like something rotten. I legit started looking around the kitchen for the source before I realized that it was the primer on my hand! When I smelled the back of my hand I gagged! I had my wife and daughter smell it too because I was even having a hard time believing any makeup products could ever smell like that and they totally confirmed it! There's no way I am putting that on my face. Maybe mine is defective,IDK, but good luck if you purchase this product.

This stuff really works!!!
I am 68 years old and I have lots of wrinkles, red spots and some dark spots also. Trying to find a makeup that would work for me has been a nightmare. I saw this on amazon and thought well it can't hurt to try it as it isn't expensive. I really didn't think it would work for me. I put it on and did it like I would a moisturizer just all over my face and neck. I had already put a primer type thing on I use. Then I set about putting heated curlers in my hair. When I got done doing that I was ready to start with the make up so it was the first time I was really looking at my face. Boy was I surprised. It totally covered all my red and dark spots, made some of my wrinkles less obvious and left a very smooth base to put on my foundation. Next time I am going to skip the foundation as I looked better with just this Glossiva Makeup Primer on my skin. It is so hard to find good products for older skin and I am so happy with this purchase. The bottle is also large so it is a good value too not one of those tiny little tubes or jars. I would post a pic but I am too bashful to do that.

Scent is gross/ product is good
01/22/2021 update- while I still think this is a fairly good product, after using it for a couple of weeks, gonna have to say that the smell of it is starting to get to me.I normally wear Stila but saw a blogger suggest this as a less expensive sub. Yes, it’s about $20 less. The product was similar to Stila. Coverage was good. It’s not greasy. Easy to apply- spread well. I have a lot of red undertones and so I like this to cover that. You could easily wear this with or without makeup over it. I was honestly impressed with the product. I don’t know if I’d classify this as moisturizing. I think that all depends on your skin type. I’m super dry and so it just felt like a thin lotion. It wasn’t drying to my skin and didn’t look heavy either. Kept my makeup in place even with taking a mask on and off. Now, for the bad... the smell. If you’ve ever gotten a hair perm, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. It smells exactly like a fantastic 80’s-90’s perm. If not, then think a stinky sulfur. I’ve read other reviews that have also mentioned this. When I opened it and smelled it, I was immediately turned off, but figured I’d give it a try just to see. I don’t wear it super heavy and I could smell it if I squirted the product on to a sponge or my hand. I could smell it a little as I was applying, but it seemed like the smell quickly disappeared. I don’t know if it’s because it was spread out and so the scent wasn’t concentrated to one area or if the smell disappears as it dried/set. I even had my daughter sniff my face (yes, that is weird, but I wanted an outside opinion) and she said she couldn’t smell it. If it weren’t for the smell, I’d probably give this product a higher rating. If you aren’t super sensitive to smell, I’d say this is totally worth it.
