ANYCUBIC PLA 3D Printer Filament 1.75mm, Black, 1KG

Between this and that extra bad Amazon basics PLA, you'd better get this unless you like 3D STRINGING. I mean I would've gotten better results from the Amazon basics PLA with a bic lighter and a metal spork. The Anycubic filament ran right out the box and I used it to make 2 boxes for some LiPO batteries I had lying around just to test it out. I should've ordered this instead but my foolish self wanted to try the Amazon basics PLA. I hate kicking myself. It's hard on my rear and my legs. As long as your settings are within spec and you haven't done any modding that you'll have to adjust for, the Anycubic filament runs great and produces great looking prints. The build house QC is obviously a lot better than a certain billion dollar company that I won't name but I'll side eye mentally. But since I'm an internet G, I'll drop a name- Amazon. It's Amazon. Oh the disrespeK!

Works great for regular printing but be carful… I made a cup holder my moms walker forgetting how heat sensitive this stuff is. It melted in her car. Get Petg for that stuff or similar items that might be exposed to high temperatures. Don’t be an idiot thinking “does that mean fire resistant or extreme heat!” Some people just shouldn’t mess with things beyond a kindergarten level

It just flows nicely

I let a spool of AnyCubic Black PLA sit open for a year. It rained yesterday, and I had the window open. Just printed a good model. The filament is slightly brittle off the spool, but is printing clean, at least for my needs. I'm not driving a Hot-Rod. Just an Ender S1 Pro at stock speeds. Some problems with first layer due to moisture from being open for a year on the shelf. Just purchased a new roll of PLA+ from Anycubic. Yeah. Fresh prints better than the old moistened stuff. Just purchased a jug of desiccant. While the moistened stuff prints, it doesn't print as easy.

UPDATE: I had to buy a new printhead for my printer because of all of the damage done by this filament. Because I am a glutton for punishment, I decided to try and save as much of the roll as possible. I unwound a bunch of it until it seemed to get passed the tangled mess, and just cut that portion off, as I didn't want to have it get tangled on what I rewound. I tried to print again, and... THE SAME THING! The spool got tangled and another set of prints ruined. At least this time I caught it before the printer got damaged, since I was actively tracking the print. Over half of this spool is wasted now, as I'm not even willing to try what is left. And the real kicker is that I have 4 more spools from these guys that I don't even want to try to use. So total cost of this filament: 5 spools x ~ $15.00/spool, a new printhead at ~40 after shipping, and countless frustrating hours trying to problem-solve and mitigate my losses. Overall, this one "$15.00" spool cost me over $100, and SO MUCH FRUSTRATION!! GARBAGE! HOT GARBAGE! I have now had 5 separate instances in the past week where my prints completely failed. Why? Twice because the filament was tangled up, and three times due to extruder clogs. I measured the filament that I pulled out from the clogged extruder, and it measured 1.96 mm! That is definitely more than a 0.02 mm variance. Sure, the filament was cheap, but the amount of filament I've wasted, and the time I've taken having to fix my 3D printer, more than erases in "savings" that I got from the cheaper stuff. This was a waste of money.

The filament printed well without issue and without breaking. The downfall is the cardboard reels that it is wound on. One spool had the reel bent and it didn't work well in my AnyCubic Ace Pro unit and kept jumping out of the track and binding up. Adding to the problems, the spool wasn't wound neatly and orderly, something that I value when buying filament. Everything else was good including the color consistency throughout the print and reel, the diameter was spot on with no issues presenting themselves as hang ups or misfeeds. Upon initial arrival the filament was put into my dryer and started off around 20% which shows that AnyCubic takes care to ship and store the filament well.

Quick delivery and excellent product

I bought 2 rolls of this fillament to use across my 2 prints for a big work project. It has produced consistent results, no problems with print quality, adhesion or nozzle clogs. Real shame Amazon does not stock other colours of the same filament :-)
