Cable Matters Long Range VGA Extender Over Ethernet Cable (VGA Over Ethernet Extender) up to 1000 feet

So let me start by stating that I purchased another product first. I bought the Cat5e/Cat6 cable to VGA just the plug in without power for around 7 dollars a set. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. It was a disaster. had lines and ghost images all over and I only have this over 38 feet of cable no where near the crazy amount it actually could. I used shielded cable also. well i ended up purchasing these. Plugged them into the same lines, plugged them into power, adjusted the gain and such and damn, now you cant tell that its VGA over Cat 6 cable. fantastic quality, great sharp picture. I should have just spent the money on these in the first place. Take my word for it, these are great. I am not a reviewer, offered anything for these reviews, so if I say they work I mean it.

The product worked however after a year it started randomly loosing signal. After 2 years it stopped working all together and I discovered that one of the capacitors had went bad. 2 years is good however I was hoping it would last a little longer.

Setup in our church from a latop to a projector. I bought a 250 ft Cat 6 cable. It was too long, so I cut it to 130 ft and re-terminated the end. First, tested with a monitor set to 1024 x 768 resolution at 60 hz, and after adjusting the peak and gain got a great picture. Ran the cable to the projector and connected the receiver then vga to projector vga input. No adjusting needed, picture and color was perfect. Item shipped on time and packaging excellent.

Works well but sometimes monitor flickers black then video comes back very quickly. Not a deal breaker but just wanted to let everyon know it happens once in a while.

Like it when it works but after a few months it fails.The first time, I replaced it under warranty. This time, not sure if they will honor a replacement as my 1 year warranty ended last month.Let’s see!

This worked perfectly to transmit VGA video over 246ft of shielded Cat5e running on the roof of a building. The cable was installed by another contractor who improperly used CCA Cat5e with passive video baluns. The image quality was terrible. I was called in to fix the problem. After using proper grounding techniques and shielded Rj-45 connectors, the signal was flawless thanks to this device. It was well worth the money. I did not test the audio transmission, however. The video was being sent to a projector from a computer.

Works with minimal ghosting at 35 feet and 1920x1080 resolution. Much better than using a direct 35 foot cable directly which I tried and was unacceptable even for basic server monitoring.

Needed a second projection feed, quick... found some cat 5 on the ceiling, tossed this VGA over cat 5 on the ends... no complaints!
