So Far, So Good!
I recently replaced my 8 year old Tetra Pond filter with this product. The Tetra Pond filter was a nightmare with constant leaks, constant clogging, and water infiltration into the UV light bulb chamber. The VIVOHOME filter has been working great so far. No leaks, no clogs, and I have crystal clear water in my pond. One improvement I would like to see is a more durable belt clamp. The clamp needs to be more heavy duty plastic or metal.

Crystal Clear Water & Healthy Pond Ecosystem
Maintaining a healthy and visually stunning pond can be a constant challenge, especially when battling algae and cloudy water. After much research, I decided to invest in the VIVOHOME Pressurized Biological Pond Filter with 13-watt Light, 1580 GPH Suitable for Koi Ponds up to 800 Gallons or Ornamental Ponds up to 1600 Gallons, and it has truly exceeded every expectation! My pond has never looked this good. The pressurized biological filtration is the backbone of this unit. It effectively removes harmful toxins and maintains a balanced ecosystem, which is crucial for the health of my fish and plants. I've noticed a dramatic improvement in water quality – it's incredibly clear, allowing me to fully appreciate the vibrant colors of my koi. The integrated 13-watt UV light is a game-changer for algae control. Before this filter, I struggled with green water, but the UV light zaps away free-floating algae, keeping my pond sparkling. This combination of biological filtration and UV sterilization provides comprehensive water purification that's hard to beat. With a 1580 GPH flow rate, this filter handles a substantial volume of water with ease. It's perfectly matched for my 700-gallon koi pond, and I can see why it's recommended for koi ponds up to 800 gallons and ornamental ponds up to 1600 gallons. The power and efficiency are truly impressive. Installation was surprisingly straightforward, and the unit itself feels very robust and well-made. Cleaning is also much simpler than previous filters I've owned, which is a huge plus. If you're a pond owner looking for a powerful, reliable, and highly effective filtration system that delivers crystal clear water and promotes a healthy aquatic environment, the VIVOHOME Pressurized Biological Pond Filter is an absolute must-have. It's an investment that pays off daily in the beauty and vitality of your pond. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Clear pond within days
We hired workers to remove 25 years of pond life. Every plant and fresh water fish and amphibian lived in it for years. Until recently with maybe 10 fish swimming about. They removed every bog plant lily and roots leaving a muddy pond. We waited a week to let the pond clear on its own with no results. Bought the Vivohome PBPF and in two days cleared the water muck to crystal clear. Installation was simple and useful for fertilizing the flowers around the surrounding area. Comes with extra biolight for filter. Important: Make sure water is flowing through the filter when biolight is on. Overall a good product and reliable.

Good Filter but Confused Instructions.
The pond filter is very good. The instructions are also mostly good, but confused in one critical area. According to the figure on page 3 and 4 on the instructions state the water inlet is "A" and where the pump is to connect to the filter. "F" is the outlet and "G" is the cleaning connection. I hooked up the connections as indicated on page 3 and 4 and the pump did not work. The water went in the pump but did not come out the outflow as indicated. After troubleshooting using the symbols on page 1, I discovered "A" and "F" were backwards in the instructions, page 3. I crossed the connections and restarted everything and the filter works good with the water exiting the outlet as designed.

In my opinion look elsewhere for a pond filter
This was my 2nd purchase of this same filter. The first one lasted just shy of 4 years and i thought that was acceptable for constant service with little or no fuss. I am not sure what happened to the product but the 2nd one was nothing but trouble. I installed 3 UV lights and another set of filters in its less than 2 years of life. Even though I have ample supplies of parts I switched to another brand. Very dissapointed with this product.

If you have a Koi pond, this is a must!
I built a 300 gallon koi pond last year and populated it with 5 medium sized koi (about 6-8 inches). The pond got murky and turned brown, like tea color. It is next to large maple trees and is always in the shade. i think rainwater filtering down the leaves stained it brown? I went to a pond shop and the guy said an external filter (like this one, but the one he had was $225) could help. I wish he said it definitely would solve the issue, instead of phrasing it like a suggestion. We ended up just doing a complete water change and still using our little fountain pump with the in-line filter box. We actually ended up doing 3 water changes that year. This year, after the ice melted, I noticed the liner was covered in algae. And then the whole pond turned cloudy green. I did a partial water change and added sludge clearing enzymes/bacteria, but the pond never cleared. Then one of our koi died, due to mouth rot. After researching, I noticed a lot of Koi message boards said to use an external filter with UV. I got this and it cleared up the pond in 2 days. On the 3rd day, the water was crystal clear, all the way to the green algae-covered liner. But, alas, another of our Koi died, with some sort of mouth disease or trauma - the lower jaw was broken. I am not sure if bad water led to an infection that deteriorated the jaw or not. The other 2 were fine and are still fine (the 5th one we lost last year due to damages to its tail by something). This thing just works. It keeps the pond crystal clear. As a bonus, the backflush valve position can be used to drain the pond with the pump. Last year I used HD buckets to manually bucket empty the pond. It makes partial water changes a breeze, which may not be needed if you have a healthy balance of plants (water plants don't last in our pond due to it being constantly in shade). My one minor complaint is that the sponge cleaning mechanism doesn't do a great job. There is a gear on one side where you attach a handle. As you turn the handle, it rotates the filter sponges against a rod. This theoretically "scrubs" the sponges, but it only acts on the outer edge and the main parts of the sponges stay dirty. After two months of use, I took it apart to thoroughly clean the sponges (there are 4 inside, 2 yellow and 2 blue).

Absolutely works and worth the money!!
Absolutely amazing filter. It’s simple to hook up. Easy to clean. And is high quality. I use it for my duck pond and it’s been a life saver … I no longer need anxiety meds everyday dealing with a nasty duck pond that I need to empty and clean. Ha I hooked it up to a quality pump, a water fall filter and now I sit back and enjoy my babies.

A POND SAVIOR
This thing is LEGIT. I have tried EVERYTHING to clear up the algae in my pond... sun covers, koi safe chemicals, plants, drain fill drain fill... it always turned lime green! I saw this filter on a fb pond group and i decided to try it and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! This is only after a couple of weeks (there was A LOT of algae build up). We can actually see our fish now and they are so much happier! WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Service and parts are impossible to procure
This is the best filter I have ever owned. I has worked unbelievably good until it didn't. The UV light stopped working. I went to the manual, which does not list part numbers. So I went to the email that was listed for support, to try to get a parts list, or a part number for the uv light. Got nothing but useless canned crap. Finally read q&a and found a source for the uv light. Bought six, plugged it in and bupkiss! There is no power to the bulb. It appears that after only 1 year, even though I brought it in for the entire winter, the ballast is shot. So I have been trying to find a way to get hold of Amazon, to let them know I have an issue, that needs to be resolved before we lose all of our fish! There is no way to contact Amazon customer service, with this issue, that I can find. I am going to lose all of my fish, and I am really pissed! VivoHome is useless and apparently, so is Amazon! I have had a pond for 15 years. I have had to replace many uv lights. I have never seen a filter that the ballast or something else has blown so quickly! I have been fighting, trying to rectify the problem quickly, and I simply have no idea how o resolve my problem. Frustrated, angry and extremely disappointed!
