Best Ever
I have one major complaint for Christa Watson 's book. I WANTED MORE PATTERNS AND MORE DESIGNS. I simply could not put the book down. After preordering the book in April , I have waited all this tell for a book that I knew was going to be good but I had no idea it would be so delicious. I have followed Christa's blog for over 2 years. I knew her style and enthusiasm would be absolutely amazing. I am having a hard time deciding which pattern to make 1st. A BROKEN V quilt in Red white and blue would be stunning. Candy Pop made with dove gray and a rarer gray background with black and white circles ...hmm I fan 2ai5 to doFacets is 5h3 BombAnd Pearl Gray...is terrific. I am sold on.that one÷)!.But my favorite thing about this book is Christa teach how without bring tedious. She gives you the facts..the how to do something that everyone can understand.Cannot wait to see the next book.

The book is brimming with great information, helpful tips
I'll never forget the first time I met Christa Watson. We were at QuiltCon 2015 in Austin, and I was leading tours of the Special Exhibits. It was the first day, and I hadn't had much of a chance to familiarize myself with the quilts in three of the four exhibits, and I was improvising somewhat. When we were looking at the Quilts of the Month, I asked if anyone in the group had made any of them, and Christa raised her hand. Not only had she made one, but her quilt was hanging right there in front of us. It was a pleasure to hear her describe the quilt and her design process, and she saved the day for me. I had to get the book, and was not the least bit surprised to see what an outstanding book she'd written. The book is brimming with great information, helpful tips, and gorgeous quilts! Highly recommended!! Kudos, Christa!!

Great book for both walking-foot and free-motion technique, and how they can be combined
I bought the book first on the Kindle, then in "real book" form in order to do the Facets quilt-along. I preferred the real book. I probably could have just ordered the rulers and stuck with the Kindle version and been fine, but I am glad I bought the real book. It is much easier to see the detail in the photos. One thing that would make this book better is a heavy-duty spiral binding. I have plans to make several of the quilts in this book, with my own twists, of course! It is a good resource both in terms of learning technique and as a jumping-off point to spur on my own creative process.

An Invaluable Resource!
This book is an invaluable resource for quilters! From choosing your thread, to batting choices, all the way to picking and quilting the perfect design.... well, it just doesn't get better. As a long arm quilter, I know what it takes to quilt a quilt and Christa guides you flawlessly through the process of doing it all on your home domestic machine. Not only does she do this, but she give your 12 great quilt designs to make too! Don't wait.... grab this book!

Pretty good book
Pretty good book. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I had looked it over first. One of those books better borrowed from the library for a particular application.

I'm still a domestic machine quilting novice but if you follow along with the book and really practice, you will get the hang of it. It is a great jumping off point for getting started and a wonderful resource if you are looking for filler patterns. Although, many of the patterns would also make great all-over quilting texture for any quilt.

Nice book. I ordered it after the author was the guest speaker at my quilt guild. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Illustrations are enticing!

Another amazing resource from Christa Watson! Can't get enough!
Just received my copy and it was well worth the wait! Pre-ordered in July. As usual Christa outdid herself with this amazing book! Filled with wonderful instructions for successful free motion quilting, beautiful quilt designs, etc. taking a sick day today ...just might have to do some "cold therapy" 😉. Thanks Christa once again for an amazing resource! Can't wait for the next one!

Just buy this book if you can't quilt your tops - it's amazing
It's Christa Watson again and you know how much I love her books. I first saw her on a class in Craftsy. She is an amazing teacher and her books are as amazing as she is.

I really enjoyed this book. Christa makes it easy to understand the steps from beginning to end. I especially liked the 'Rain' quilt.

New to quilting? A worthwhile investment.
The first printing sold out quickly. Mine arrived yesterday. Looks like it will be a 'Go to' book for many quilting projects.
