Fast Facts for the Critical Care Nurse

I bought this book as an early Christmas gift for my daughter, she's a BSN, RN. She was very excited to receive this book and told me she was actually thinking about buying it herself. She's in the process of reading it, but tells me its a great book and has the facts and knowledge any aspiring critical care nurse needs to know! This is a must buy if you're in the nursing profession!

Good reference book for a new ICU nurse

Just started as a new grad ICU nurse and this was the best purchase ever!

My daughter loved it

I never write reviews, but this book is completely lacking in any sort of detail. If you're looking for something that gives you anything further than a list of things you'll see in the ICU, this book isn't for you. I wasn't expecting deep patho, or full treatment plans, but this book offers no elaboration. The cardio section is barely 14 pages, including a full page blurry EKG and multiple sections for references/sources.This may be okay as a nursing student preparing for a clinical in the ICU, but if you are a registered nurse in the ICU, this book is a waste of your money.

This book is helpful if you are looking for a quick description of disorders. If you are looking for in-depth patho/phys and treatment plans for disorders this might not be the best for you.
