Sharp, smooth, and reliable – great for everyday grooming
This trimmer charges quickly and holds its power well – the 60-minute runtime is more than enough for multiple uses. The blades are sharp and precise, trimming cleanly without hair pulling or snagging. It runs at a good speed and handles thick or coarse hair with ease. The build quality feels solid, and the anti-slip grip makes it comfortable to hold and control. A great all-rounder with plenty of length settings and smooth performance.

Remington Style Series B5
Beard Trimmer offers good value for everyday grooming needs. It comes with adjustable length settings that make it versatile for different beard styles, and the blades are sharp, providing a smooth trim. The battery life is decent, though it could be better for longer use. One downside is that it can feel a bit bulky in hand, and cleaning the trimmer can take some effort. However, for the price, it gets the job done and is reliable for regular beard maintenance.

Best beard trimmer yet (B3 Style Series review)
I’ve been using beard trimmers exclusively for the last 25 years, as I often develop razor bumps from wet shaving. Having the hair follicles trimmed to just above the pores has made a significant improvement on my skin.My first one was a Philips Multitrim HQG267 (lowest cutting length: <1 mm). Cutting performance was reasonably good and with plenty of switchable blade attachments. The only downside was that it was a rechargeable and would fail to hold its charge after a few years (yes, years... not months). By the end of its life, a ‘full charge’ would only last half a shave! After going through a couple of these units, I firmly decided to purchase only AA or AAA battery operated beard trimmers in future.I then moved onto the Wahl 9906-2017 Groomsman (lowest cutting length: 0.5 mm), as there weren’t many battery operated options around at the time. While the cutting performance was better, the beard trimmer’s motor was loud, I’d have to go over some areas more than once, and removing the blades for cleaning required a screwdriver. The downsides didn’t bother me too much and I was prepared to tolerate them… until, one day, a piece of plastic beneath the blades suddenly snapped-off, rendering the beard trimmer completely useless. It lasted a little over five years (but, due to the lockdowns, let’s say three).Although I had a back-up of the same Wahl model, I decided to seek out something new, as I had lost confidence in its build quality. After all, both Philips units lasted me far longer and they were rechargeables! So, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Remington offers the best of both worlds at a very decent price. The Remington (lowest cutting length: 0.4 mm) is even more precise and powerful than the Wahl, while being less noisy and just as well-constructed as the Philips (also with an easily detachable blade for cleaning). It effortlessly cuts through my stubble or beard, and provides a closer shave than any beard trimmer I’ve used before. I was so impressed with it that, after a month of further testing, I bought a back-up and have stored it away,The only reservation I have is a minor quibble: unlike the other beard trimmers I’ve used in the past, the on/off switch and controls are not on the same side as the blades. I have no idea why such a strange ergonomic decision was made, but it sometimes feels weird that the controls are ‘back-to-front’ on the trimmer. With that said, if half stars were possible, I would award it 4.5. But seeing as it’s the best trimmer I’ve used to date, it deserves the maximum rating possible.UPDATE (January 2025):It’s been over three years since purchasing this, and I am happy to report that it’s still working fine. There are many reviews complaining about the B4 and B5 models dying after a year or so. This is why, whenever possible, I prefer removable (rechargeable) batteries over integrated rechargeable batteries – it’s just less hassle, more future-proof and much better for the environment.Sadly, the B3 has now been discontinued, but I managed to obtain a second back-up while it was still widely available. So, if the performance and longevity of my first B3 is anything to go by, I should be set for many years to come.

Good bit of kit
My partner likes Remington products, so when I was taking him away on a surprise long weekend way, this was the first brand I looked at. I knew he would want a beard trimmer with him, so I bought this to pack, as I couldn’t get to his regular shaving gear without him noticing. I wanted something that didn’t break the bank, as I assumed that he would use it while we were away, and then it would be kept as a spare. How wrong I was! I think the trimmer pleased him as much as the weekend away did!The trimmer feels nicely made and my partner said that it’s easy and comfortable to use. Since we came home, he has consistently used it as his primary trimmer and it seems to take him less time than usual to sort his beard out. The results are very good and it has made a noticeable difference to the overall neatness of his beard. He hasn’t needed to charge it either, so the battery life is pretty good. Happy to recommend.

Weak motor, bad clippers
This is the 6th or 7th time I've bought a Remington clippers, I use them to trim beard and shave my head... some were cheaper, some were more expensive but this one is comfortably the worst of the lot and it's not even close.I usually throw a clippers away when the motor gets sluggish, the battery dies or the blades don't cut as they should but this model out of the box had a far worse motor than ones i've discarded and so there's simply not enough power power. You have to do 3 or 4 passes to get the same result as you would with 1 pass of a decent clippers.A total waste of money

OK but not great
It seems OK but a few issues that would've made me look at a different trimmer. It's much larger than I was expecting. Fine for general trimming but if you need very precise styling then maybe look at something else.I assumed that because the blades were washable that they wouldn't need oiling, this is not the case. For cleaning the blades need to be removed, washed, dried and oiled. Would've preferred something that can just be rinsed under the tap.The longest setting is not very long and it has a heavy vibration when in use, more than other clippers. However, it seems pretty good for the price. It gives a precise trim and the dial adjustable length is much easier than swapping combs. Should be good enough for quick and rough trimming.

Good quality product, packaging leaves a bit to be desired.
Very happy with the quality of this product (I have one myself), however I was less impressed when I saw that the delivery information had been stuck on to the actual box itself, as opposed to it coming in a cardboard box. I’m all for trying to reduce waste, but this was meant to be a gift for my Dad’s birthday and the outside now looks quite scruffy. Is there no other way this could have been done?
