Are these the same as the dryer balls sold at the grocery store in the laundry supplies? The look like the dryer balls.

The green is softer than the red and larger. I love it for back rubs. It is soft enough that it can be moved over shoulder blades and spine without pain.

It describes both the hardness/softness of spikes and how "squeezable" they are. The hard ball is not pliable at all--very hard. The soft ball is flexible--just the right amount for me.
