Western Digital WD10S21X-24R1BT0 1TB SSHD DCM: HBTJBBO

I got this hard drive in my Lenovo Y50-70 Touch and it failed after a year. I did some research and it's a widespread issue. The asking price is insane to begin with. Some people have had the drive fail in days after using it. It's just a super horrible drive. Western Digital needs to remove this drive from the market and from any availability. Their customer service is horrible. I really hope I can get the data off the drive.

Like the other two reviewers, I got this in a Lenovo Y50-70. It did not fail; however, it is ungodly slow for a hybrid drive. It has an 8gb NAND SSD mated to a 5400 rpm drive. Start up times for the OS and programs is horrible. I finally put in a Samsung 840 EVO SSD and the system now loads in a reasonable amount of time.

I realize that hard drives can fail unexpectedly. I had this HD for 13 months (inside a Lenovo Y-50) and it suffered a mechanical failure without warning. I do carry my computer around daily, but I treat it gently and I expect laptop components to be designed to withstand normal use.

Had this for over 2 years and works like a champ!
