I hate dieting, but this makes it suck a bit less
Guilt free spaghetti, what more do you need to know? Wifey and I order Vietnamese once a week dump the noodles and use these, make spaghetti this is your magic bullet. Dieting sucks. For those of us who need to diet but aren't disciplined to stick to one these are a fantastic option. My diet always starts the same, off to a great start, with a cheat day on Sunday, and eventually devolves into only cheat days that end in Y. It happens. However, having this as an option with only 5 calories and 3 carbs for noodles just a pure blessing to help maintain the diet momentum. Taste is fairly bland, the texture and consistency is the biggest gotcha, these noodles aren't going to soak up and get super soft like normal noodles, so they're always going to be marginally more chewy than normal, but you get to have noodles for gods sakes an you're on a diet, rejoice at the options.

Very Satisfied customer.
These noodles arrived very quickly and looked exactly like picture. Basically these noodles are bland, that’s why only 2 grams carb. I stir fry noodles with garlic, chiil, ginger and tumeric with some soy sauce to give it flavor.they replace my carbs. I like the noodles, they are firm but not too firm and spongy. For me they make good substitute. This is the third time I have ordered them.

Risk of gastric distress
I really like these when I first got them. Yeah, there was the expected fishy smell, but a good rinse in the strainer fixed that. I typically microwave them or boil them, then I add some oil or butter and a little flavoring of some type. Good stuff. The consistency is a little rubbery, but not overwhelming so. The spaghetti form and rice form are less rubbery, while the flat form is a little more rubbery, especially the clear flat form. Unfortunately, there's a dark side to shiritaki / konjac. If you eat a couple small packs of the noodles at once, you risk severe abdominal distress. The first time, I was in pain but couldn't swear that the noodles were at fault. The second time, I was certain of it. Both times, the distress occurred about 18 hours after eating the noodles and the pain was debilitating. All I could do was deal with the pain. The second time, I nearly went to the hospital. I was minutes away from going, but thankfully fell asleep while laying on my side on the floor (the only position that was bearable at the time). The pain felt like my stomach would split open. Picture the scene from Alien. Finally, after nearly 12 hours of misery, the pain abated enough to let me move around. Three days later, I still have mild pain, but it's gradually going away. Apparently this scenario occasionally occurs with others. I just searched for konjac stomach pain and there it was. I no longer recommend any shiritaki / konjac products. All of mine went in the trash. I hope this helps someone else avoid the same thing I went through.

YUM YUM YUMMY 🤤
These are hands-down the best Shiratake( konjac) w/ oat fiber spaghetti noodles I've ever tried and I've tried almost everything on the market! If you cook these in the crockpot overnight the texture/ taste is almost exactly like wheat spaghetti noodles! ...but only if you cook them in a crockpot! That's basically the secret I found in cooking all konjac and konjac w/ oat fiber noodles/rice ( and I tried literally everything from the directions they give to baking in a casserole to microwave , etc ) ...if you cook it in the crockpot for at least 24 hours the texture comes out almost exactly like real rice or noodles if it has oat fiber in them , and if not the texture of str8 up konjac - the longer u let it cook in crockpot the less rubber the texture and more like real noodles it gets as well and the difference becomes literally negligible if cooked long enough . So, Your welcome 😉 The sauce sticks to the noodles well also when done this way . I just made spaghetti and turkey meatballs with thus and it was YUM YUM YUMMY. If you make your sauce base out of keto friendly chicken stock ( water is fine the noodles just more flavor soaked in w/ chicken stock which makes the taste alter a bit to mimic traditional noodles for some reason) and put all your spices and oil or butter or whatever in the sauce while you're cooking the noodles in the crockpot everything comes out better that way, because everything seeps in . I know some of you may be scratching your head because especially str8 up konjac is VERY resistant to anything seeping in and you find your sauce and what not are the bottom of your bowl or dish and it's disappointing. But it's not impossible if you cook it in a crock pot . Again... Your Welcome 🙃 😜 Lol. Hope this helps ✌🏻 🖖🏻

Good for what it is. USDA Organic
EDIT: I have now figured out the main issue with these noodles. The oat fibers appear to amplify the plastic taste of the noodles. Lightly stir frying before trying to use them reduces it, but these still have more of the plastic taste than the clear versions without oat fiber. Recommendation still applies. Pros: - oat fibers make this one taste more like regular noodles - USDA Organic Cons: - Not returnable - Texture still has the rubberiness all Konjac has - Taste still has the rubberiness all Konjac has STRONGLY RECOMMEND buying a smaller amount first to test out first, and give it a chance using non-standard recipes meant to complement shirotaki. Normal noodle recipes just result in not good cheap imitations. Like expecting a movie while reading a dictionary or doing vocabulary flash cards. IMO these shirotaki with oat fiber to make them taste more like noodles defeat the purpose. Uncanny valley. Best type to use are the fettuccine clear noodles because of softer texture and flavor, and they're cheaper too. Go to a Shabu Shabu hot pot restaurant and try the shirotaki knots and you'll understand what I mean. Find it in your nearest Chinatown. Japanese and Chinese style hot pots should both have them in various forms and soups for you to try out.

Disgusting and inedible. Caused me to vomit, have diherra and have horrible abdominal pain! These noodles came extremely dry and wouldnt soften even with boiling, you couldn't even properly chew them because of how hard they were. The texture was Disgusting and was like rubber or plastic. Whatever you do DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

In my second last order of konjac spaghetti, one serving (out of 2 boxes of 8 servings each) was defective and inedible (taste and look like dental floss), but the Amazon representative gave me a partial refund to compensate me for this loss. For the current order, I chose to buy the konjac spaghetti rather than the fettuccine because it was much cheaper then I found out that it was past the due date by about 2 weeks. I did not contact customer service because I intend to eat all of it anyway and it tastes perfectly fine. These konjac noodles are a favourite keto food (fettuccine being my favourite).
