Motorcraft - Sealant - Liquid (TA34)

My 2014 Ford Fusion Energi doesn't have a physical spare tire in the truck, just a kit of tire sealant and an electric tire pump.It was showing a "Service Tire Mobility Kit" error on the display so I searched and found out you are supposed to replace the "Spare Tire Kit" every few years. I bought this, reset the alarm and I'm good for another couple of years. (it had a expiry date on the can for 2 years from now).I know I could have just bought separate can of Tire Seal, but I like the idea of going OEM especially if my wife needed to do it and she just wanted to follow the instructions in the car's User Manual. (She's much better at "Reading The Manual" than I am)

Similar to Keith Z. I have a OEM mobility kit for a 2013 cmax that requires the electrical contacts on the sealant canister be present so that it can complete a circuit to allow the pump to turn on. The sealant canister I received does not include these contacts.I created a shim out of a pie tin that sits between the sealant canister and the base that bridges the contacts on the base and allows the pump to turn on which should allow for this canister to work. I suspect possibly these contacts were phased out on later models as a cost cutting measure.From what I could find, amazon had the cheapest price compared to purchasing it at the dealer or other online parts stores. I didn't realize what the contacts did until I received this one without them and did some testing, turns out the canister I purchased 4 years ago had bad contacts, (they were there, but there was no continuity between them) and would have needed a similar shim. Good thing I didn't need to use it and find out at that point.

This item EXPIREED January of 2024, I received it February of 2025!It is useless!I will return it!I would have given it a lower rating if I could!

Had to replace an expired can of sealant in my wife's Ford. Got it, took a quick trip to YouTube U. to learn how to install it and reset the dashboard setting, and was done in a few minutes.

I ordered this 2/4/25, received it 2/7/25. The item arrived in original factory box with a mfg. date of 19May2023, the expiration date is May 2027, so it has a 4 year lifespan of which I am only receiving 2 years & 3 months. This is the factory part, required for the kit that replaces the spare tire in the Ford C-Max series. I was afraid of getting a limited lifespan part from here, so I tried the online parts store R. A. first & they shipped a resealed factory box with an already expired item. At least this part still has half it's lifetime, I don't think this is a good value for the money only because of the older date, but it did fit perfectly & is easy to install.Update 2/15/25: Lowered to 2 stars. Returned this item for a replacement, received an item with the exact same date. Returned that one too. The item I received from R.A. I returned, got store credit, & re-ordered from them. Total time dealing with R.A. over 2 weeks, BUT... the replacement they sent was manufactured 03Apr2024 & expires April 2030!!! My advice? Don't buy from here go to R.A.

I haven't actually had to use this yet (thank goodness) but I just purchased it to replace the expired canister that came with my Ford Flex. The original canister expired 4 years after we bought the Flex, and when I bougt this replacement I was worried that I might get one that had a shorter shelf life. I was please when it came in that the expiration date is actually about 4.5 years for now, longer than the original!This was a genuine Ford Motorcraft part, not a generic aftermarket replacement.

This item came quickly and fit perfectly. My Lincoln dash expiration setting's maximum length is only 4 years and the replacement canister's expiration date was over 5 years from the date I received it. I would recommend this to anyone looking to replace one in a Ford or Lincoln requiring a TA34 sealant canister.
