Our Dog is Normal Again FINALLY
Miraculous. For two years, we have been battling an unknown skin condition in our black and white Pit mix. It would come and go, and each time it came back back, it would be much worse than before. Our poor boy had quarter-sized bald patches all over from the collar down. His belly and the skin under his front legs began to look like elephant skin when it wasn't covered in bright red bumps that would burst open and ooze. His fur fell out everywhere at the slightest touch. It was hell. He was never still for long - constantly licking, scratching, etc. We tried the cone, antibiotics, topical steroid spray, oral steroid treatment, medicated shampoos, special diet, etc. etc. and of course, repeated vet visits. It eventually became so bad, he was on steroids all the time. I began to notice however, that as soon as we stopped the course of drugs, it would attack with more strength than before. We love our vet, but out of desperation, I turned to the almighty Internet to do my own research. In my searching, I found several forums of pet owners who were dealing with this same skin condition, and in all types of breeds - shepherds, spaniels, Chow Chows, terriers, etc. The accepted theory seems to be that it is a type of staph infection that is a symptom of an allergy. Like me, these owners had been through the gamut with treatments, to no avail. And similarly, their dogs were plagued with episodes of flare ups that were worse and worse each time. Someone in one of these forums, God bless him, mentioned that he had some Chorhexidine shampoo he used on one of his horses who had a skin rash, so he started bathing his dog with a diluted version. He reported the results, saying run, don't walk but run grab your credit card and order some of this stuff from Amazon. I did. After two shampoos, my dog had found peace from the constant irritation. After four shampoos (over the course of about 10 days) his skin was pink and healthy again and there was NO SIGN of the red, scaly, pus encrusted sores that had been ravaging his skin and destroying his beautiful coat. They were GONE. About one month later, his bald patches are filling in again. He went through a period where there was a lot of flaky skin shedding but that was minor compared to what we'd been through. His skin was just shedding in the process of healing itself. I can honestly say that in one month and about 6 shampoos, our dog is back to normal again. Now he gets a bath with this shampoo once a week to maintain and that's it. I got the Synergy Labs version of the Chlorhexidine spray that I use in between baths if I see something that looks suspicious. Clears it right up.I have to mention that it puzzles me that our vets don't suggest Chlorhexidine. In my research, I found hundreds of pet owners who were struggling with this and am sure they represent only a fraction of the number who are suffering through this and don't know how to get help for it. How can the medical professionals we rely on for their knowledge, training and expertise in treating our pets either not know about this treatment or for some other reason, not prescribe it? I am not knocking veterinarians - we love ours. I am just very perplexed that they would have no knowledge of this, especially when it is almost immediately effective. Of course, I plan to mention this at our next visit so that maybe she can help others who are in a similar situation.

Cured my Yorkie's Itch
I swear by this stuff .. it was the ONLY shampoo I could use on my little Yorkie that (1) gave him relief and (2) considerably cleared up his skin. Highly recommend.

Really got rid of my dog's odor!
This shampoo is fantastic! Our springer spaniel has been stinky for as long as I can remember and baths only gave a brief reprieve. It got to the point this summer where bathing him didn't even make a difference even though I was using EQyss Micro-Tek which is supposed to help with itching and odor. I did some research and figured out that his odor might be caused by skin fungus, and reviews of this product seemed good, so I gave it a try. After his first bath, the odor was significantly improved, and even better, it didn't come back after a day or two. I bathed him a second time and this time his smell was almost completely gone, plus his coat started getting its luster back. His itching seems improved too.UPDATE: We used this several times and my dog's skin is so much better now! The stinky smell has not returned and he is much less itchy now. I will be buying more!

Major improvements after only one use!
I've only been using this shampoo for about 1.5 weeks at the recommendation of my vet and so far it's working wonders for my French Bulldog! I have tried so many shampoos for my dog's skin problems and allergies and nothing has worked! Before, I've tried Earth Bath: Mediterranean Magic, Richard's Organics: Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner, Be Super Clean Shampoo, Malacetic Ultra Shampoo; tried apple cider vinegar baths just to name a few and have not seen the great results as I have with Douxo Chlorhexidine Shampoo! Her coat stays soft and shiny longer with this stuff and the yeast growth on her has gone SIGNIFICANTLY down after ONE use!My dog is itching less and just seems overall happier and healthier because she's not constantly itching herself!! Hopefully with continual use this stuff will "cure" her topical allergies. I also use the mousse in between baths and to clean between her folds and toes and anywhere else she is prone to yeast growth. My vet explained that this stuff is bacteriostatic which means it's not exactly an antibiotic so she won't develop any resistance to it and it helps with any excess reproduction of yeast, which if it's not reproducing will eventually help it go down. This shampoo foams up nicely so I like that I can get a nice lather and overall coverage of my dog. It also does not have a strong sent, if any, which I like. It *seems* to be rather gentle because I accidentally got some of the lather in my dog's eye and she didn't flinch. The company website is informative and has recommendations for best effective protocol. This stuff is working miracles and I'm so pleased with it!! I will update my review after more extensive use. It's pricey but worth it to finally see some results and her hair growing back and seeing her getting back on a healthy track! And as a I mentioned before even though it's pricey, it lathers up nicely so you don't end up using as much (depending on dog size/coat type).

Amazing results for my pet!
My dog, a Golden Retriever, had a terrible skin condition, scratching, biting and pulling his hair out literally, bald spots and the whole nine yards. I had taken him to my Veterinarian for examination and was told it was a severe reaction to a flea bite. It only takes one flea! Anyway, after treatment and meds for him I was also prescribed to bath him two or three times a week for two weeks with Douxo Sogeval Chlorhexidine PS Shampoo with Climbazole. then taper off to regular bathing. The results were amazing! His skin condition improved by leaps and bounds and his hair started to grow back in the spots where he was affected. Of course the Veterinarian exam was the start of cure, but the icing on the cake was the use of Douxo Sogeval Chlorhexidine PS Shampoo with Climbazole as prescribed, for my pet anyway.
