Downsize on bulk with Spigen’s Thin Fit case for your Nexus 5X. The hard PC case snaps snugly onto the phone to maintain a slim profile for minimal style and protection against scratches. Even with its slim profile, the Thin Fit case provides just enough coverage for surface protection of the camera.

Pretty Good for the Price
I'll start off by saying that I'm disappointed with the case options that are out for the Nexus 5x so far. But, I was interested in getting something at a good price point to hold me off until a better solution is available. Of the current offerings, the Spigen seemed like a good combination of quality and price. So here it goes.Materials 8/10The Polycarbonate was much better than I expected. It has a soft touch feel to it that really feels good in the hand and provides a great grip. The material feel is probably my favorite part of the case.Fit 7/10My case fits great on the phone. It is nice and snug while still easy to install. Fit is always a concern at the lower price point, but I was pleasantly surprised. All the ports and buttons are exposed and unlike many other early cases, the microphone is not covered. I would give the fit a 9/10 but the clearance around the headphone jack is a little tight. It should work with most ear buds, but has an interference fit with the aux cable I use for my car. It's not bad enough to require me to remove the case, just enough to be bothersome.Protection 9/10This is hard to score because it's designed as a thin case. Do not buy this if you are expecting an otterbox level if protection. However for a thin case it has all the bases covered. There is a raised lip on the screen side to prevent scratching if you put the your phone face down, and a similar lip around the raised camera lens on the rear. All four corners are encased by the Polycarbonate to prevent bumps and dents there. Will it survive the damage my toddler can deal out? Most likely no. But it will protect the finish and glass until I can pick up something more rugged.Ergonomics 2/10I'm really sad to say this phone has bad ergonomics. As I mentioned above, the material feels great, but the ergonomics are ruined by one major flaw. The top edge and bottom edge are wide open by design, unfortunately this creates a sharp edge on the phone. This may not matter for you depending on how you hold your phone, but my default grip feels terrible. I usually hold the phone in the palm of either hand, but I curl my pinky up at the bottom to support the phone. When I do this that sharp edge digs right into my finger. Had I felt this before buying I'd probably have purchased a different case, but it's not bad enough for me to return the case or anything like that.Overall 7/10Other than the ergonomics issue, I'm pretty happily with the case. Eventually I'd like to find a solid Polycarbonate case with overmolded TPU bumpers, but this should hold me offers until something better comes out. This will be a great case for someone that wants something lightweight that looks good, and isn't worried about a toddler throwing their phone across the room.

Spigen, for the win
I love Spigen cases. I used one on my last phone and I've had this one on my phone since February. It's still in perfect condition despite the fact that I regularly drop my phone. Seriously, I probably drop my phone about once a day. The case doesn't add bulk and the material feels great in your hand, not too sticky and not too slick. I'm not saying this case will protect your phone under any circumstance, probably far from it, but it's a great case for people who are looking for something fairly protective without adding bulk.

Helps prevent general wear and tear
I have been using this case for about 2 months. I estimate to drop my phone at least one-two times a week at the greatest distance of 4ft. So far this case has helped to withstand any damage from those drops. I'm sure if it hit just the right angle, it might do some damage, but general wear and tear seem to be prevented. The case wraps around the front of the phone and with a lip that is about 2mm high. Which means if I set my phone on its face on a hard surface, the screen will not touch the hard surface. The case is a hard plastic. My last case from Spigen was an iPhone case and it was more of a silicone type feel. The silicone was a bit easier to grip than this super smooth slippery plastic, but the silicone got very dingy and dirty (both the iPhone case and my current Nexus case were in the mint-like color). Putting the silicone case in the pockets of my dark blue jeans would leave dark blue dye on it. The dye of my jeans (or general dirt and grime) does not rub off onto this hard plastic Nexus case. So that's a definite bonus.I also like how this Nexus case covers the entire back, except for the flash, camera and fingerprint. The case goes up to the edge of each of these and do no hinder use. I have seen cases where it's just one big rectangle to fit around the camera and fingerprint and design wise I was not a fan of that look.

This case is amazing.
Let me first start by saying I'm not a case guy. I've never used a case on any phone that I've owned in the past. However, when I got my Nexus 5X, and realized that anytime it's sitting on a table it will be resting on the camera glass, I decided I needed a case to raise and protect it. I wanted something thin and unobtrusive. This brought me to the Spigen. This case is amazing. Fits perfectly, provides just enough to protect the case along the corners and sides, and provides a thin buffer between the back and front of your case when you place it on a table, and that's when Spigen decided that the case would be no thicker. The case doesn't obstruct either the charging or headphone port, and has a precise cutout for the camera IR sensor and flash. One of the best features of this case are the fingerprint sensor cutout, and the power/volume rocker button cutouts. The fingerprint sensor cutout starts to angle inward a few millimeters before the actual sensor, which helps with accuracy when trying to use the fingerprint sensor and makes a nice indent to place your finger when using the phone. The power/volume rocker button cutouts are amazing in that they extend to the very back of the case. When holding the phone, your thumb doesn't have to try to reach into a small hole to press the buttons.+Thin+Awesome cutout ergonomics all around+Lifts phone off tables enough to prevent scratching glass-Can't make me coffee

Another great case by Spigen
I have always chosen Spigen due to their superior quality of materials and good value in comparison to its competitors and I was not dissapointed. The phone snaps on perfectly and feels nice in the hand. It's matte black finish is similar in appearance to the Black 5X but doesn't seem to attract nearly as many fingerprints. The Spigen branding is subtle and in my opinion positioned well. I have dropped it only a few times indoor from about waist height with both the case and phone coming out unscathed. Dust and lint does gather between the lips of the case but this is expected (not to mention necessary for protection) and causes no problem when you consider that frequently taking the case off to clean doesn't seem to affect the fit that follows afterwards. Also the ridge for the fingerprint sensor has meant that I can locate it quicker than without a case or with a different case which was also a pleasant surprise.

Pretty good, but sharp lower edge was more uncomfortable than anticipated
The bottom of the case has quite a sharp scratchy edge. Another reviewer pointed this out and I thought "oh, I never put my pinky finger on the bottom edge of the phone", well after receiving this case I've realised that I do so fairly often because it keeps getting stretched and cut into! The case does raise the screen from the surface (even with a glass screen protector installed - I'm using the OMOTON which is 0.26mm thick). The case wraps around the left and right side, and it protrudes up and down enough that if you hold the phone vertically it rests on the case. However, there is an angle where the phone rests on the surface directly and is not protected by the case. I'm somewhat worried that if the phone were to fall at this angle it could endanger the safety of the screen.Despite the minimal coverage on the top and bottom edge it will still only fit the smallest of aux jacks in without removing the case. The Ringke case looks like it might be better on most of these issues, however I think I'm going to opt for a softer TPU case instead of this one.Edit: I ended up going for this case and I'm really happy with it: Nexus 5x case,Lizimandu TPU 3d pattern Case for Nexus 5x(Green Fragment)Nexus 5x case,Lizimandu TPU 3d pattern Case for Nexus 5x(Green Fragment)

Basic protection but could be improved
The case clips on perfectly, provides good grip (as the phone can be quite slippery) and is not obtrusive. The case is slightly higher around the camera meaning that the lens doesn't sit get scratched as easily when being put down. The fingerprint scanner is also easily accessed. However, the case doesn't cover all the front edges - it leaves the top and bottom exposed, clipping on only from the sides.Only once (so far!) have I dropped my Nexus 5X and it scratched the edge above the front-facing camera. If the case had protected all edges, this wouldn't have happened. (Also true if I hadn't dropped my phone in the first place!)All in all, a good case, slim and unobtrusive though not perfect.

No frills decent case
One of the simpler cases and makes removing the phone, and putting it back in, very easy compared to another one I owned (that split along its decorative border). So far there's been no calamities with it but the few time it has dropped on the floor it's come off unscathed (paired with a glass screen protector)

Fits well and love the colour
Case fits the Nexus 5x well and the mint green colour is great. Agree with other reviews about the bottom of the case being a little uncomfortable to rest on your fingers when holding but overall it hasn't bothered me too much. I have dropped my phone a couple of times whilst using this case and so far it's protected it well and there's been no damage.
