The metal is not thick but the breadbox is functional. The screws are on the top of the breadbox which is fine it makes it look more industrial. It holds 2 loaves of bread and a pack of hamburger buns nicely. This is the first square breadbox I’ve purchased but it won’t be the last.

This is a great box - nice looking, holds a lot of stuff! It seems slim in profile, but actually holds relatively tall things and has a pretty good capacity. I am really happy with it. I'd be glad to pay more for one made of thicker, sturdier metal, but would probably have to see it in person to believe it. It's not going to see kids slamming it every day, so it'll be just fine. For the price, the quality is good. The color is sweet, and it's very easy to open (it does slam shut). We aren't using it for bread, but for otc medicines on a bathroom shelf (it's just tall enough for a Costco-sized bottle of Ibuprofen). Keeps things tidy and clean from dust, but easily accessible. It doesn't seal particularly snugly, so to keep bread fresh, for example, the bread would have to be in plastic. It would be great to keep tea & coffee on the counter in the kitchen, muffins & bagels, art supplies, vitamins, anything that's always on the counter but should be corralled.

I believe this item is a bit overpriced for its quality, but it solves the problem of clutter on my countertop. I'm using it as a catch-all for kitchen items that I use every day and want to keep handy but don't want to look at. I got the white option and it is a true, pure white, which I like. Wasn't sure I'd like the matte finish instead of shiny and worried how well it would hold up. So far, that has been no problem though. I like the handle and the hinged top, because I can still easily open it when my hands are full. I also like the way the opening is designed, because it gives ample, easy access to the contents inside. I also appreciate the clean and tailored look of this on my countertop, and I love the little rubber feet that both keep it in place with no sliding and protect whatever surface it is placed on. This is definitely not heavy duty and the metal is a bit thin and flimsy, but it arrived in perfect shape, looks attractive, and definitely serves it's purpose of coralling and protecting items I don't want left out in the open. Though a tad pricey for what you get, it's a good solution to everday clutter.

Looked for something exactly like this and the color for kitchen counter where all the prescriptions have to reside. Keeps them organized, handy, safe and out of sight. Love it!

I bought it to store my vitamins. Works well

This is a Christmas gift for my sister who has a bit of spice bottle clutter by her stove. This will hide the clutter and blend with her white marbled counters. I loved it. I already have a similar one for my kitchen

I hesitated buying this for a an entire year because I knew it was overpriced and was waiting for it to go on sale... it never did. I finally decided to just get it because nothing else had these perfect dimensions for my countertop storage needs. Well, it's even chintzier than I expected. Very thin metal, it was shipped with 0 protective gear, not even a plastic bag covering it, and the hinge is visible from the top, which you can't really tell in the manufacturer photos. The hinge looks like a giant zipper, it's so unslightly and takes away from the clean white box look I wanted. I'm still gonna keep it because it fits even jumbo gummy vitamin bottles, and keeps everything neat on the counter. The other downside is the label on the front of the lid is a cheap paper label that sticks like loctite. You need goo gone to remove it.

I looked at several styles and even bought another style which I returned. What's great about this breadbox is both the style/look and the functionality of the product. It looks EXCELLENT on the counter, doesn't take up too much space and has a retro yet modern style. The access is from the top which is where this breadbox really differs - it means that you can smoothly and efficiently open the door as well as see the entire contents of the breadbox right away. The family loves this breadbox, it fits more than 2 loaves. Love it!! There is a slight squeak to the hinges but honestly, it kind of adds to the whole look and feel.

I was looking for a smallish bread bin, something different to the chunky ones like mainstream namesThis is exactly what I wanted, yes it's thin metal bit wobbly when using, but sat it looks perfect. It's not intrusive, not bulky, height should be enough for most kitchens if you need to save space and put something on top, although it does open upwards.Room for probably 1.5 loaves depending what you buy.Really nice, I personally would recommend to give it a try.
