Deka Professional Booster Cables - 20' 4 Gauge (00159)

I bought a set of these cables in the early 90s. They gave me good service for more than 20 years. I lost them when my car was totaled and they were left in the trunk. Bought some basic cables at a gas station. They did the job but just barely on a Honda. Had to buy a new set of Deka cables for confidence.The product is listed as East Penn Manufacturing, and that is the manufacturer. But the brand on the box is Deka and that is what I was searching for. It took way longer than necessary to find the 4ga 20’ cables because they did not show up in my query.

These are cooper wire cables. The copper teeth in the clamps are somewhat different from the photo, but as configured seem fine. The actual teeth don't project out of the clamp the way the photo suggests. The cables come with an orange carry bag that is printed with the word "HELP" (so that you could use as a sign), but the bag is the same fabric used in re-usable grocery bags. So, I doubt the carry bag will last, but it should be somewhat helpful to keep the cables organized in the trunk of a car. As noted, the packaging says the product is made in the USA. These are solid cables that I believe will hold up well. I have another pair of comparable cables (non-Amazon purchase) and got these for a different car. Delivery was prompt.

They don't have the little clamps that poke out past the end of the of the jaws, kinda disappointed because that can be handy. Also they're the clamps/handle/grips aren't as long as they appear in the photos

Made in the USA! Quality Jumper Cables... These do cost more than the Chinese made from WalMart or AutoZone, but one must set priories where we can.

This is the best price on a long, pure copper cable in a heavy gauge I could find anywhere. It is excellent quality. I keep a set of jumpers in all my vehicles.
