Cute and fun, good quality but game runs a bit long.
Kids liked it but game runs much longer than stated on the box. Need to figure out alternate rules to get it done faster. Can take forever for someone to deliver a single present. Seems to be well made. Even though the spinner backing card is a bit warped, it still works okay.

christmas game
i bought this game to play with my 6 year old. the box recommends the players age as from 5 up till age 99, although im sure players over 99 years of age would also enjoy it ;) for 2-6 players. the game contains..the board,6 santa playing pieces, toy tokens, a spinner with toys and compass directions on it, transport cards, surprise cards, letters to santa cards, rooftop cards ( with slots in the centre), the rules leaflet and a die. each player is firstly dealt 5 letter to santa cards containing the picture, name and house number of the child as well as the toy the child wants. the toys on the lists are, doll, teddy, games console, bike, and train but some children have asked for a surprise present. players must first move beside the spinner which acts as Santas Workshop and which has 6 landing spots, one for each of the toys and one with santa on it. you must each take turns to spin to collect the toys you need for your sack.if you land on the santa then you can collect every toy for your list in one go. once you have all the toys required for the children on your list, you get to move your santa to the Start spot on the gameboard. you place the 3 rooftop cards in the inside of the game box so when you deliver a present, you slot that toy token through and return the childs letter card to the bottom of the pile. players take turns to roll the roll the die and move around the board where most of the spaces are rooftops of the houses. the aim is to be the first santa to deliver all your presents which sounds simple enough but you can be helped or hindered by landing on the transport cards ( which give a number of a house rooftop for you to land on) and the surprise cards ( which include moving you back around the board, letting you choose one of your houses to directly land on and post your present there and then etc) and the Pass A Present space which lets you choose one child and their present from your list and passing it to another player, lightening your load. you may also land on the Late Letters space which requires you to pick up another letter to santa card from the top of the pile, giving you another child to add to your list of delivieries, at which point you have to move off the board and back to the spinner to spin for the that childs wanted item, if they ask for a surprise then you can pick the one the spinner lands on. the game was great fun to play and my son loved it. when you first open it, all the card pieces ( Santa playing pieces, toy tokens and spinner) must be popped out of the card holding them which doesnt take long, the rules are explained easily too. our first game lasted just under 1 hour and my son was the winner...i thought i had him ...but he got a surprise card which enabled him to choose any house on his list and deliver that present, well, he only had one delivery left at that stage. immensely fun to play, i recommend this game for the festive season, but i cant see this game being put away once christmas is over...i think itll be one we play throughout the year, highly recommend

A Fantastic Game
I bought this game by chance for my daughter and grandchildren to play at Christmas. At the time I did not realise how good it would be for the whole family, whatever their age. Although the instructions were a bit long and quite confusing to start with, once we got going we found the best way to absorb the details of each part was to read and understand each section as we got to it. This worked very well and we all thoroughly enjoyed playing the game, so much so that the following day we got the older children to teach the younger ones how to play it and they were all able to understand and enjoy the game too. I thoroughly recommend the Santa's Rooftop Scramble board game to families of all ages because it's a really good fun game to play around Christmas.

Really good fun
First of all it seems a quality product, well made. We have only had this a few weeks but it is being well used, time will tell as to how it wears. Upon reading the description I thought this would be too easy and not entertaining enough for my 10yo but we love it. Game time varies but we just start with extra presents to deliver to beef it up a bit. We do like a board game in this and would definitely recommend this.

We wanted this game for Christmas eve after seeing it smyths toy store and it did live upto expections the game is fun and easy to learn the only problem was we left it to late to purchase from smyths toy store at £12.99 and had to purchase it at amazon for £21.99 which is a shocking increase in price
