I was so relieved to come across these. We live in a townhome and use poop bags on every walk. It weighed heavily on my conscience to be buying tons of plastic poop bags that were literally made to be thrown away. For a while, I thought I was doing my part by buying other "green" poop bags, only to find out that while some bags are definitely better than others, they were still going to take many, many, MANY years to break down. And even then, they'd just break down into smaller plastic bits. Not ideal.Compostable is definitely the way to go and these come in cardboard packaging, as well. We've tried other compostable brands and this is the one favored by my husband, who finds them sturdier and easier to rip from the roll. I’ve included a photo, which shows that they ARE very thin and definitely more delicate than you’ll be used to if you commonly use regular plastic bags. However, if you don’t handle them like a complete brute, they’re very usable and I’ve never had any issues with them ripping during use.They ARE expensive and it pains me a bit to spend so much on a product when I can buy a cheaper plastic competitor. But the quantity of bags lasts a fair amount of time and I'd be lying if I said I didn't give myself a tiny pat on the back every time I use them for being such a conscientious citizen. =)If you're in a financial place to afford these, please make the switch!

Definitely a different texture. Easier to open than my old brand.I was so mad to learn about the compostability, or lack there of, of other brands. We use a lot of bags, and I wanted to be more responsible with them.I had to get used to the feel of picking up poo with this one. Feels like there is no bag. A little gross, but you can't have it all.

The bags are sturdy, light and easy to separate.

These poop bags are environmentally friendly.

I bought these to replace food storage bags. I tried another degradable brand of bags made to be for food storage (also from Amazon), but those bags were undersized and the material was flimsy, and so my cheese didn't stay moist.Poop bags are the right size (9"x13"), and these are unscented, so I figured they would work. So far (a week or so) they seem to be doing the job. They are sturdier than the bags sold for food storage, and as long as the bag doesn't come untwisted, the cheese has stayed moist. There is a smell to the bags themselves (not an added scent) but so far that odor hasn't transferred to my food.However, I was astonished that a company selling compostable bags (to save our environment) would use PLASTICIZED labeling on the (plain brown) cardboard box, and enclose a (unrequested) MYLAR-TYPE decorative sticker (see second pic). Also, each roll of bags is held with a small sticker (see first pic), which seems totally unnecessary. I prefer to avoid adhesives, most of which are also some form of plastic.Wake up, Pogi Brand! Change over to more environmentally-friendly packaging. Don't send me a sticker I didn't ask for and have no use for. Figure out how to pack the bags of rolls without using a sticker on each.

I have been using these for over two years now (>1000 bags) and they have worked very well for me. Compostable, durable and appropriately sized even for large dogs. I have a 95 lbs golden retriever.

I love that these bags are made out of plant-based products, and I love that the company packages their products in paper materials. These bags are easy to use, easy to separate, and very sturdy. I've never had a bag break on me! They are scentless and don't do much to hide the smell of dog waste but that is fine with me because everything else about these bags is fantastic.

Buy these and keep plastic out of the dump.

Great product, very happy

I really like using the regular bags for cat litter as they are big enough and are compostable! When the size was out of stock I ordered the handled ones as the measurements indicated were the same. Well, they are not at all. The handles take up a good portion of the length and the width is only at maximum when the bag is folded out near the top (bottom doesn't fold out so it's a lot smaller). False advertising for sure. They don't hold nearly as much for the same price. Now I'm stuck with a heck of a lot of bags!
