Kmise Analog Delay Electric Guitar Effects Pedal Mini Single Type DC 9V True Bypass

This is a great delay. I’ve noticed that no two delay pedals, even those of the same brand, will have the exact same characteristics. Every pedal is different and I’ve owned 5 other analog delays over the years (the joyo green analog delay, caline blue ocean, dod fx90, behringer analog delay, and a boss dm3). The behringer was actually quite good and had a really distinct sound when self oscillating, but it stopped producing delays after about a few years, probably due to the cheap plastic components. The Joyo and Caline were essentially copies of each other, but the Caline is more sensitive when adjusting. The DOD was my least favorite, it added a lot of darkness and detuned the repeats in an unappealing way. The boss dm3 was my favorite but being a 35 year old pedal, it’s lost clarity over the years. It also maxes out at 300 ms. This little pedal here really really surprised me. And it could be that it’s just a really good build, the specific one I received. The repeats are quite strong for an analog delay - I already used it on a song I was tracking straight out of the box. After some tweaking and adding some reverb on top, I’m getting some Syd Barrett type of echorec tape delay repeats out of it, which like I said was really surprising. These Chinese bootleg pedals have come a really long way since I discovered them about a decade ago. A lot of analog delays will add darkness to the signal, especially when set to long repeat times. This one maintains clarity - even at long repeats, which is important to me because I’m using this for home recording. The less post eq, the better. It’s excellent and for $22, you really cannot beat the value. I place it second in my chain after a compressor but before the overdrive/dirt box, that really makes it shine. Placement is everything, depending on what sound your after. On a final note - I cannot read pedal schematics or understand circuit boards, so I’m not sure if this is a “true” bucket brigade delay chip or a digital delay, it does behave like an analog delay but has very clear repeats like a dd3. This might matter to some people, but I haven’t investigated further. Thanks again lotmusic for the great value and awesome pedal!

Dirt cheap and works as well as other analog delays I have from decades ago. I got this for a "stripped down" footprint when playing without my regular pedal board. No power supply, but a standard 9V plug works fine. It's simple and instinctive and the casing seems sturdy. The sound quality (i.e., repeats) is accurate and adjustable depending on how you want to mix the volume and timing. There are other inexpensive delay pedals but this was the least expensive and Kmise stands by their products if you have a problem.

Nice delay for the price!

I’ve been playing electric guitar for almost 50 years. Played in several bands in the late 70’s and used some expensive and noisy effect pedals. I sold them many years ago. I started playing again after retirement and wanted to build a “Stompbox” with some basic effect pedals, such as delay, overdrive, chorus, and compression. I decided to go “cheap” and try these Kmise mini-pedals. I was completely surprised by the quality, sound, and quietness of these pedals. They may be inexpensive but they are not cheap. I highly recommend the “Analog Delay” pedal and the “Vintage Overdrive” pedal if you are looking for that classic 70’s tube amplifier sound. The “Vintage Overdrive” pedal gives my solid state amp a real warm tube overdrive (distortion) sound. The hum or buzz normally associated with overdrive pedals is subtle. A noise gate pedal would easily quite it but no need for my recreational play. The “Analog Delay” produces a warm organic tone with slightly unpredictable repeats. Just what I was use to from much more expensive pedals. By using these pedals, I can get the sound quality I want without cranking the volume up on the amp. I don’t plan on playing on stage anymore, but I wish I had these pedals when I did be play gigs.

I had to send it back. Pops massively when turned on. I would steer clear of this one.

The delay aspect works just fine, but it boosts volume and adds highs in the signal chain - working on trying to solve that problem. But for $20 it's ok The ultimate drive is fantastic. It's an impressive surprise and actually has tone that I really like. I recommend this pedal.

Got the analog delay pedal. I don't have expensive tastes, so I gave this one a try. Has a weak output. I have the mix knob turned up all the way. Repeat knob needs to be turned up about halfway to notice anything. But, it does work. And the time knob seems to work okay. Is it worth what I paid? Probably. I'm giving it 2 stars, because it does work. Can't expect a whole lot for a low price. Seems to be good construction. Remember, you need a power supply for it with the pedal-standard negative tip.

Excellent pedal. I get my slap back effect and my Floyd type delay and everything in between. Sounds amazing using a Telecaster through a Princeton Reverb Amp. I’ve been playing for almost 35 years so I know my stuff. If you read a bad review, they got a defective item, they’re lying, or they’re just crap musicians . Solid enclosure, good value for the money, and quite versatile. Don’t be a donkey and spend $300 + on an effects pedal. It won’t make a crap musician any better. I recommend giving a Kmise pedal a try,

Esta bien el pedal el tamaño es ideal si quieres ahorrar espacio en tu pedalboard, esta bueno para jugar con las perillas y encontrar el sonido que buscas incluso pude emular algo de reverb con este accesorio, recomendado para añadir a la colección.

Having only used digital delay units in the past, it was interesting to try an analog delay. The case is unlike any other pedal enclosure I've seen previously, knobs are smooth but small so once you dial in a sound you like don't mess with it too much. As for the sound, the lowpass filter on the Bucket Brigade Design chips is quite dark, so repeats are rather muffled on higher notes. Running a drum machine (TR-8) through it anything higher pitched than a mid-tom gets filtered out in the repeats.

Pedal works well, but the volume control does not cut the effect.
