I purchased these to help care for my camera gear in extreme temp change weather. Living in Northern Illinois, I have been out photographing eagles in -20 F. Going from one extreme temp like that to the heated house, or reverse where it's hot in the summer and cool in the house, I throw one of these in a Ziplock bag, put the lens in the bag, then leave that in my camera bag for a couple hours to acclimate.

My Fluke 87 V had a lead error display when I turned it on one day. On line searches of this problem found it was due to humidity build up in the amp lead sockets. I cleaned them out as best I could with no luck. I ordered these, then put one in the zipper case with the meter. The next morning the problem was gone. I now have one in all my test instrument cases as well as my punch sets case and tool boxes. They are packed in an aluminum sort of zip lock bag to keep unused portion dry.

When I ordered this product it never crossed my mind that I would receive used silicone packets. I’ve ordered these before and the the package was received sealed as if from the company that packages them and I cut open the package to use items. This order, the package was already cut open and the silicone sachets appeared to have been used before. I ordered a package of 16 and there were actually 19 used sachets in the bag. Be careful ordering these items you may get used items being resold.

Buy once, cry once right? I wanted to protect my tools inside my rolling tool cabinet and decided rust was the biggest threat. To combat moisture and rust I ordered these. They arrived on time and I placed one in each drawer. The cover used is very thick and sturdy, so they can be tossed around or have tools thrown on top of them without tearing apart. After a few months tools look like new. Used a few in some ammo cans, and got the same great result.

When I found myself living in a tiny travel trailer during the wettest summer I can remember, I put these in the storage drawers so my clothes wouldn’t get moldy. I’m convinced they’re the reason they didn’t. The dehumidifier helped, but these were working weeks before I could afford to buy that.

Hello--I have been re-packing some family papers and photographs, and wanted some silica gel packets to throw into the containers. The size and quantity of this product fits the bill--I'm able to put at least one packet into each container, and have the confidence that any excess moisture will be taken in by the silica gel, and not our items!
